Just rerurned from Los Cabos and Mazatlan, Mexico to finalize golf with Adventure Tours to these beautiful destinations. Check out this video of Herolds Bay Beach, South Africa. In May, 2018, our travelers joining our golf/safari tour will stop there for lunch nearby after golf at Oubaai. So incredibly beautiful, plus Ernie Els lives there too - right on the sand!
On our 5th day here in South Africa, our gracious hosts and partners took us to some incredible beaches and golf clubs. We stopped first at Oubaai Golf Club & Estates with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean. This is Ernie Els's signature course and also his home course as well. This is also one of the golf clubs we will play on the May, 2018 tour. Links layout where veld grasses, indigenous to South Africa, line the lush fairways. The course measures 7,125 yards from the pro tees, which is uniquely long for a Coastal course. Incredible Indian Ocean, Outeniqua Mountains and Gwaing River Valley views.
Next stop along the Garden Route is Herolds Bay Beach to check out the surf and Ernie Els' oceanfront home built into the cliff. Check out some of these pics to see how spectacular his home really is. Since he lives in Florida and also and Europe while on tour, he's only here for a few months each year. Besides everything he has done for the game of golf, his work for autism in South Africa, America and around the world is really spectacular since this disorder has affected his family directly. Ernie, you are the Big Easy, in so many ways besides golf and I loved watching you win 2 times in playoffs at Waialae Country Club when I lived in Honolulu.
Final stop of the day was at Fancourt Links Course, home of the 2003 President's Cup. Next post will talk about this fabulous links course rated tops in the entire world. Travelers joining us next May will get to play this extremely private and very famous golf club. Best links course I have ever seen in the world.
