Pap grew up in the Strip District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for over 50 years.

He was always involved in the city's finest produce and was responsible for ensuring it's quality as it rolled off the trucks. He carried this passion into his home life where he kept a garden of his own and grew some of the freshest produce in the city. Pap's secret was the time, detail and love that went into his garden. He would take his home grown ingredients and create one of his most prized
