3️⃣ Not all staterooms on cruise ships are created equal. A knowledgeable travel agent can spot the differences and ensure you’re not disappointed when you board.

4️⃣ The same goes for All-Inclusive Resorts. Not all rooms and experiences are the same—let an expert help you choose wisely.

Exciting News!

In the coming weeks, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will begin piloting a new service providing expedited entry to theme park attractions: Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.

At Disneyland Resort, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available first come, first served beginning two days in advance of a theme park reservation and will be valid for use in both theme parks. The first date it will be available is October 23, 2024.

At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts and may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay. It will only be valid for use in one park of the guest’s choice per day. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024.

I like to travel. Each trip allows my family and I to see more of the world, get out of our bubbles, and make memories together. But each trip doesn’t have to be the same.

Cruises are a legit vacation. Most everything is pre-planned or just available if/when you want to do it. The cruise line app told me when to show up for dinner, entertainment, and activities. My kids have some freedom to do what they prefer. The food is good — and I don’t have to prepare it or think about it. Cruises allow moms (and probably dads and teenagers) to take a mental break from chores and work and school and whatever else. I didn’t look at my calendar for a week and only tended to two “work” tasks.

We needed a cruise this vacation.

If you’ve been following along with the storm stories this week you know that the theme parks are very lenient with cancellations and changes, suspending all cancellation fees and allowing for refunds where standard policy states otherwise.

Cruise Lines are a completely different story. Cruises rarely cancel, therefore are very strict with cancellation penalties.

If a cruise has to alter an itinerary, no refund is typically offered. (You’ll find this in the Terms and Conditions)

If a cruise has to shorten an itinerary, usually a goodwill offer is extended (In the form of a future cruise credit)

If a cruise must cancel due to port closures or mechanical issues, refunds of cruise fare only will be offered. You will be responsible for transportation costs incurred. (Especially true for guests deciding if they should fly down in the middle of a hurricane for a cruise departing the next day)

If the cruise still sets sail but you can’t get there (flight delays, traffic issues, sickness) or if you show up without the proper citizenship documents, unfortunately the loss is all on you. Sometimes if there is a named storm in your departure city they might issue an FCC, but not always (especially if arriving a day prior was an option)

We recommend using a third party Travel Protection plan to cover all aspects of your trip to help mitigate the loss. We recommend TravelEx:
