The pier at Lookout Cay… did you know there’s actually a really interesting reason it’s so long??

It was designed this way as part of Disney’s Conservation effort to protect a natural reef area between the dock and the land, and to avoid dredging a ship channel. When developing Lookout Cay, Disney pledged to protect the natural environment of the Bahamas and Eleuthera, including the coral reefs and aquatic life.

The pier is a great example of this effort!
