Well, it’s 8:49am on a Saturday and I’ve already found a huge vulnerability in the Hilton Hotels encryption protocol on their Honors Members WiFi. All guest comms on this network are not secure. I wonder how many people will have their identities stolen as a result.

I’ve notified management and they’re calling corporate. Corporate called me back to ask how to fix it. I felt like saying…”let me put a proposal together because I don’t work for free.” 🤷🏻‍♂️

When you book on your own, do you really know what you're paying for?

Budget hotels are charging "safe fees" that are just another kind of hotel resort fee that is realy a junk fee.

When I started in this business, I never had to charge any fees. Why? Because I got paid a commission from the vacation supplier. Since then, COVID 19 totally destroyed the travel industry - leaving every single business who caters to travel, tourism, and hospitality paying little to no commission. All in an effort to get back to normal operations. As a result, sometimes I have to ask for a planning fee. If I don't, then I am working for free. And free does not pay the bills. I have had loyal, repeat clients refuse to pay my fee, and that hurts. It hurts because they know the value of my service. They know the value they are sacrificing by avoiding having to pay that fee. I won't beg for business. I will remind you from time to time that I'm still here, helping people plan vacations. I will not however, work for free. Thank you so much for your understanding, and your continued business. You are so deeply appreciated.
