When I painted Wendy Brooks, under the tree where she often held court, in 2021, I had no idea where this would end up, or what it would come to mean to me. I was painting portraits at the time and used this one to promote portrait commissions.

I was too shy to presume she might want it, thought i might give it to her kids at some point. I know the mouth is all wrong, that smirk of hers was not easy to capture.

But these days, I am so grateful that I kept her for myself. Moments when I'm feeling down, lost or in doubt, her gaze pierces mine, and I instantly snap out of it.

Not sure it will work for anyone else, but if you knew and loved her, feel free to keep this image handy and see if she doesn't find her Wendy way into you. Missing you dear friend. xoxo

Thanks to the 33 Artists Market at the Wonder Building and Gwyn Pevonka, on Saturday this and 2 other originals found their homes this weekend.

I love that reproductions allow me to share one work multiple times, but there's nothing like finding forever homes for the mother piece and at Art Markets like this I get to personally meet the collectors which is such a joy. 💗

With these latest 3 sold I have met my goal for sale of original artworks this year, with 3 months left in the year!

Thank you New Moon Art Gallery for placing my art into collectors’ lives.

The life cycle of my art includes where it ends up and who’s lives it touches along the way. Whether in a public venue or in a collector’s home, it’s doing its job. The art is completed with each viewers’ experience of it. That’s the mystery of how the collective conscious expands and the one heart web is woven.

A Marriage of Opposites! After 17 years with my beloved Gregorio, I can honestly say opposites do attract! We came from very different worlds but with some very mutually shared core values which seems to be what matters. The serious sparks between us didn't hurt either!

Now my art tells the same story of how different approaches and styles can work together.
