Which is your slice of pie?
While there are many different ways to divide and display our business, we find the different ways you travel with Go Enchanted each year so intriguing!
Last year, you were tired of staying home and wanted to seize the day! Vacations were longer, and we saw a significant increase in multi-generational trips. Our solo trips were fewer because you grabbed your friends for group escapes. We were honored to help plan amazing celebrations, exciting graduations, and epic honeymoons.
But WHERE did you go? European land-based escapes were on the regular, with Italy being the clear destination of choice in 2023, and each was customized to the client and a different charming region. Ireland was our runner-up, with England, Scotland, Greece, Germany, Croatia, France, Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands filling in the remaining bites.
Everyone loves a Magical Moment, and 2023 was no different. Adding up Disneyland, Disney World, Disneyland Paris, Disney Cruise Line, and remembering Adventures by Disney it's pretty clear that the experience they offer your family is one that you keep coming back to as a trusted option for your valuable vacation time.
Hawaii and Alaska were your choices, just a little closer to home. We grouped these together because both are stunning, unique destinations where nature takes the lead, and the local tour companies take immense pride in showing you their homes. Also, while these destinations require planning a little farther out to make all the difference, we know that the 14% shown is low- that's just those of you who stayed on land! More of you got a taste of these areas via cruise ships, large and small.
After the season of "the C word that shall not be named," you discovered cruising again, and it was evident that you told your friends how easy it is to enjoy a vacation at sea. The Caribbean is always a favorite, but you didn't play favorites. Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, and even some Transatlantic routes were shared. When you wanted something more intimate, we helped you find a small ship exploration cruise or a luxurious river cruise to take you down Europe's winding waterways. There was a little something for everyone.
Our 2023 was topped off with some lovely domestic trips, rental villas, or enjoying those fun texts when you opted for business class air. Overall, you were the ice cream on one full and fun year for us!
But what flavor will 2024 be? (Fine, fine, we're almost done with the pie references.)
So far, it's looking like you want to swap your pie for pasta again, with Italy back in the lead, but Scotland is starting to look like a serious competitor for the Summer location of choice. France is a mix of those of you wanting to see the Olympics and those of you picking a different location to avoid the crowds. Croatia looks like she might be in the running before too long.
We've already started on Hawaii honeymoons and vacations up through September, as so many of you want to return and help Maui tourism or see what makes the Islands so unique. Alaska is the clear choice for 2024 cruising so far, but we're getting last-minute requests for warmer destinations over spring break as well. Please don't drag your feet on either front.
We should see a Disney sale being released this week, and Disney World is doing away with park reservations later this month and bringing back the Dining Plan. We've heard your excitement!
Never underestimate Mexico with all she has to offer; new resorts are wowing guests there. Aruba is a charmer that a few of you are flirting with, and Fiji might be who we're secretly rooting for as that exotic destination that you might not have considered yet.
