I have possessed a love for Africa for as long as I can remember and in July 2000 I finally had the opportunity to visit this amazing continent. My first safari took me to Kenya and Tanzania for two weeks and that trip literally changed my life! It reinforced my passion for the animals but I also fell in love with the land and its people. A few months after returning I quit my job and acquired a p
osition in the education department at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. I thought that trip was a once in a lifetime trip but then the following year, I organized another safari to Africa with some friends. Shortly after that trip I became involved with African Conservancy, a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness for conservation of resources in Zambia. I was in charge of organizing safaris for our members. So of course I had to return to Africa, but this time to become familiar with Zambia. I found Zambia to be unspoiled by mass tourism and rich in wildlife. It is said that Africa gets into your blood...once you visit you are compelled to return. It is true, so I returned to Zambia and visited Kafue National Park, South Luangwa National Park, Lower Zambezi National Park and of course the spectacular Victoria Falls!
