I have had the honor of being at a lot of BIRTHday parties as a doula and nurse but it’s an amazing gift to get to be there for your family. I got to travel to Chicago to help welcome my new niece into the world and she is perfect in every way.

Friendly reminder from your doula❤️️

Postpartum depression doesn't peak until 90 days postpartum. It can manifest differently in people and can escalate quickly. New mamas should always give themselves grace and loved ones should be educated on the signs and symptoms of each. People with anxiety usually ask for help while those with depression are often quiet and don't reach out.....not because they don't want help but because their brain doesn't reveal to them they need help. Depression is a dark, quiet & lonely place.

Both are curable but often require outside help. If you feel your loved one may need help don't hesitate to reach out to a trusted medical provider. And of course I am always here to help as well ❤️
