For those that saw the group Belize trip from 2021 & 2022 and thought this looks GREAT! I want to go on the next trip, here it is!!!

Our home for 2024, is the Royal Hideaway Playacar, a magnificent all-inclusive, adults-only resort in the heart of the Riviera Maya. The best part about it, rates start at only $155 per person per night....and yes, all-inclusive! Our own homegrown musician Jimmy Parrish is once again going to Paradise and you can be included!!!

The official Event dates are Wed. July 17 through Sun. July 21, checking out on Mon. July 22 (five nights). Like always you're of course welcome to arrive a day or two early and/or stay a day or two later. Monday's a much-deserved down-day bar hopping, lounging by the pool, decompressing, and just doing whatever....with no schedule. And for that matter, consider arriving a day early on Tues.. If you have the time, why not right?

Now open to the general public for booking but this rate is not available directly from the resort, you must book with the link I can provide. I think you're gonna like this place!

Once you book your room the hotel will assign which room number as the bookings come in. The benefit of booking early, first come first serve, the most desirable, centrally located rooms go first. Again, spend time on the Resort Website to get familiar with the room classes as well as the resort in general.

You arrive at your hotel and check in at the front desk. Typically when checking in, you give the front desk your credit card (for any charges to your room).

You go to your room and settle in. All is good.

The hotel receives a call and the caller asks for (as an example) room 620 - which happens to be your room.

The phone rings in your room. You answer and the person on the other end says the following: 'This is the front desk. When checking in, we came across a problem with your charge card information. Please re-read me your credit card number and verify the last 3 digits numbers at the reverse side of your charge card.'

Not thinking anything wrong, since the call seems to come from the front desk you oblige.
But actually, it is a scam by someone calling from outside the hotel.
They have asked for a random room number, then ask you for your credit card and address information.
They sound so professional, that you think you are talking to the front desk.

If you ever encounter this scenario on your travels, tell the caller that you will be down to the front desk to clear up any problems. Then, go to the front desk or call directly and ask if there was a problem.
If there was none, inform the manager of the hotel that someone tried to scam you of your credit card information, acting like a front desk employee.

ANYONE travelling should be aware of this one!
