You will trek through some outstanding scenery and visit a place with a moon landscape presence a sight ra

rely seen by man and watch the lava create new earth. During our Active Lava Hawaiian Tour an expert Volcano guide will lead you across the 1983 PU’ O O eruption. You will discovery recent flows, roads destroyed by lava, houses surrounded by lava flows, see lava flow into the ocean and create a black sand beach before your eyes. You will see the Old Hawaiian neighborhood of Kalapana which had hundreds of residents before the lava destroyed homes; now Kalapana has just a few new homes. You will trek off our property which is the oldest standing structure unharmed by the lava flow to this day. This is not an extreme trek but rather more advanced rugged trek, so we do recommend that you are physically fit. Our excursions represent the best solution for small or big group, couples, and families with children. Restrictions: Caution no children under the age of 7 and child MUST be able to trek with out being carried…

Cost: $125.00 per person
Includes: We will provide trekking sticks, Flashlights, ponchos if needed, seating pads to enjoy the lava as it flow into the ocean…
Times of Tours: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM or Twilight Viewing 4:00 Pm to 9:00 PM
Duration: 4-5 Hours with approximately 2 hours spent viewing the lava flow
Distance: 4-5 miles round-trip

Needed Equipment: Wear something comfortable temperature are hot especially as we approach the flowing lava, small day pack, 1.5 liters of water per person, lunch or trail snacks, Sunscreen, Sunglass and Sunhat, CLOSED-TOE shoes (best to have hike boots), Light rain jacket or rain poncho and most important your CAMERA for the most awesome photo shoot in your life!!!

Lava Tour Update:
Due to the current conditions of the G61 lava flow Active Lava Hawaiian Tours is now offering the Extreme Molten Lava Tour.

This tour consist of a 7 mile hike round-trip and 1,678 ft. elevation climb from sea level.
You must be able to hike for a long period of time over uneven difficult lava terrain.
You must be extremely fit and conditiond to do this lava tour...
