Life is a journey. Enjoy the ride.
When your flights go from one connection to two. And you are up for 30 hours straight. And you just want to acclimate to your new time zone ASAP, you need sunshine, fresh air, and a motorcycle sidecar! What a great way to get an overview of a new city, or a new perspective on an old favorite. I’ve done these tours in Paris and Lisbon. Guess I need to check Bordeaux, Normandy, Burgundy, the Loire Valley and Las Vegas of the list. Thanks for the tour, @retro_tour_lisboa
Like the giant kid that I am, when the opportunity to do the world’s longest overwater #zipline came up on my South African cruise with @swanhellenic - I jumped. What a spectacular view it was over #mosselbay - I wish I’d rented the go pro for my helmet so you could see what I saw as I whooshed own off the mountain. Wow! Breathtaking.
Thank you, @mosselbayzipline for the great experience.

As we wind down 2023 and I reflect on the year, I have much to be thankful for. I have a job I love, that gives me the opportunity to explore the world. I led my first post covid group trip, my favorite part of my job! I LOVE sharing these experiences with my people. Two of my 2023 trips have turned into future group experiences and there are others in the works.
I got to visit some places I hadn’t been in years (many, many years in some cases!) and I got to add a few new countries to my passport stamp collection: Croatia, Egypt, Mozambique and South Africa.
Speaking of passports, this year wore mine out. I’m out of pages and had to send in for a new one. My passports remain amongst my favorite treasures. I love looking at the ugly photos and beautiful stamps. They are truly the storybooks of my life.
So, I’m headed to Athens today to meet my group. But this wonderful surprise was at Cleveland Hopkins. These two stormed Normandy 79 years ago and they, along with all surviving and able D-Day vets are headed back today to commemorate the 79th anniversary. There are not many of these men left, they went to war as boys. The same ages as my own boys. It was a beautiful serenade by the Cleveland Police Pipe and Drum Corp. what a lovely send off!
If you know me in real life you know I hate being cold. It’s literally the bane of my existence. So to get in this water. Oh my. But, since swim stops are a must do as you sail along the Dalmatian coast, well, I will do it. And you can too!
Everyone thinks owning a travel agency is so glamorous. But I come home and do all the same things you to. Today I’m cleaning bathrooms. Which, by the way, I’m reasonably certain were not cleaned the entire month I was gone. Burning off those holiday calories scrubbing toilets over here in middle America! Glamorous indeed!
Mid week I got a text saying that UPS had delivered a package from my host agency (think of it as a consortium for independent agents). Only problem was it was delivered to our house in MI. Oops. My old address must be in the system somewhere. Thank goodness for good friends. Jena went over and collected the box. I couldn’t imagine what it was.
What a surprise to receive this. And, no, skeptics. There are not 101 agents. There are over 6,000. THANK YOU to all of my clients who helped make this happen. Your support of my business means a lot! 2020 was crazy. But we are all ready to travel again, so let’s do it!
