Did you know?? Although many of the stones that were used to build the city were more than 50 pounds, it is believed that no wheels were used to transport these rocks up the mountain. Rather, it is thought that hundreds of men pushed the heavy rocks up the steep mountain side. 🤯

Had a great summer in Vermont ,
now switching over to for early Fall.
Walking the back hundred today, at 11,000 feet.

The mountains giveth ... the mountains taketh away.
Thanks to the amazing group of riders we spent the week with, we were riding as fast as ever, and gunning for the podium in old guy category...... until we weren't. Instead, we were carried on a stretcher down a steep mountainside, across 2 sketchy bridges over a raging river, 😳
then into a waiting wah-mbulance.
Xyrays showed hip not broken, which is nice.
To the guy in front of me who stopped right at the lip of the jump, wish you wouldnt have done that.
But, that's racing. 😒
