The destination wedding of Stephen and Kendra’s dreams came true last weekend and wow, was it picture perfect or what 😍☀️🏝️

Here are a few things I worked on for this beautiful bride over the past year to ensure everything was taken care of for her special day 👇

1. Find the perfect resort - I sent the couple options, details and pricing for multiple resorts so that they could pick the best fit for them.

2. Negotiate their group block contract - locked in rates for their guest, deposit terms and perks for the couple such as room upgrades and free nights

3. Build their wedding website - I created a custom website with all of the details for their guests to be able to easily book their room, flight, transfers and insurance all in one place

4. Communication with their guests - on average every couple has 3-5 questions and instead of all of these questions coming to the bride and groom, they come to me. I also provided everyone with their travel documents.

5. Act as the “middle man” - if a vendor or the resort wasn’t being responsive I’d jump in to escalate response times and resolve the issue.

6. Fine tune last minute details - as an added bonus we were able to get a private catamaran cruise for her entire group booked for a post-wedding excursion together!

Exciting announcement… I’m going to Ireland in 22 days! ☘️🇮🇪

This was by far the most last minute international trip I’ve ever booked, and as your travel advisor I don’t recommend booking trips this short notice because it can be stressful getting all of the pieces to line up 😅 Originally we were planning to go to Mexico in March, but another opportunity arose for us to go to Mexico later this year, so rather than going there twice, we took a hard turn to the northeast over the Atlantic! 🌎✈️

I am so incredibly excited to go on this trip to Ireland with my husband, it has been on my bucket list ever since I was little. I have so many clients traveling to Ireland later this year, so I figured I needed to go there first to experience it and give them all the tips and recommendations before they travel! We are going to be packing in a very adventurous itinerary on this 8 day trip:

🏞️ See the incredible sights of cliffs, landmarks, Titanic Museum and more!
🏰 Stay in a castle
🎣 Fish on a lake for brown trout
🧖‍♀️ Stay at a luxury spa
🍻 Can’t forget the pubs!
🚙 and we are going to do all this by renting a car and driving ourselves (on the other side of the road - so say a little prayer for us) 😅🙏

Even though I’m way up here in the cold climates of North Dakota, I love when clients send me photos like this letting me know they arrived at their resorts safely.

Here are a few things I kept an eye on this week as my clients are traveling to their destinations. Everyone recieved these updates through the itinerary app that I provide for them👇

✈️ A couple is traveling to the Dominican today and had a slight time change on their connecting flight
🛩️ Another couple is coming home from Cabo today and so far both flights are on time and on schedule
🛫 On Thursday a family traveled back home from Cancun and had some slight delays getting from MSP to Fargo
✈️ Tomorrow a couple is traveling home from Costa Rica and I updated their itinerary to reflect the the time for their private transfer from the resort to the airport
🚫 Earlier this week 4 of my clients had their flight from Bismarck to MSP completely canceled with no explanation the night before they were supposed to fly to Cabo. I spent an hour on the phone with Delta that evening getting them rebooked out of Fargo so that they could still get to their resort at the same time as planned early the next morning and they made it!

There is never a guarantee that you won’t have any interruptions when it comes to traveling to your destination - there truly are so many things that can happen. Part of the peace of mind that you get when you work with me as your travel advisor is knowing that I am looking out for you from afar and making sure that whatever happens, we find a solution. I always hope for safe and on time travels for all my clients, but if anything happens I’m just a call, text, email or message away no matter where they are in the world 🌎🗺️

When you arrive in a different country, the last thing you want to do is try figure out how to get a ride to your resort when you are being bombarded by all of the different ride options as you are existing the airport - how are you supposed to know who to trust?

This is why I always offer and highly recommend the option of pre-arranged private transfers from airport to resort for my clients. This allows you to walk straight through the chaos and find a trusted representative waiting with your name on a sign to greet you and take you to your destination. This also means you don’t have to share a vehicle with others and make multiple stops at other resorts on the way to yours!

Jerald and Lisa just arrived to Costa Rica and were greeted by my friends/partners at with a sign and welcome bag. Now that’s the right way to kick off a trip! I hope you both have a wonderful time enjoying both the beach and rainforest in Costa Rica - I can’t wait to hear all about it ☀️🌊

Yesterday we celebrated our little guy turning two years old and had so much fun visiting all of his favorite places in Bismarck Mandan. Time really does fly by way too fast, don’t let anyone tell you differently 🥹

Then, in the middle of the night I woke up with the flu. Not fun. I unfortunately had a flight scheduled today and there was no way I was going to be able to get on a plane, so I had to cancel my trip. This is just your reminder that “life happens” and sometimes there just isn’t anything you can do, but change your plans. Whether you get sick, you have a family emergency or a natural disaster occurs and flights get canceled there are just so many things that can happen - but trips can be rescheduled and it isn’t something that you should have to worry about.

This is why I always provide a quote for travel protection to my clients. Whether you take it or not is entirely your choice, but in today’s world I do highly recommend it for every trip. Travel protection doesn’t only cover your hard earned dollars that you spend on your trip in the event of a cancellation, but it also covers trip interruptions or delays, baggage delays, accident and sickness medical expenses, emergency evacuation, car rental collision and more.

Good morning from the sky and happy Friday!

Getting to that 5am flight time can be tough, but when you can get to your destination by noon that same day it’s hard to beat! Did you know that you can get from North Dakota to Mexico in a total travel time around 7-8 hours with just one layover if you take a morning flight?

It’s officially 2025 and it’s also Thursday so here is my Throwback Thursday post to kick off the New Year!

Man does this make me feel old, but about 10 years ago I was throwing my first coin into the Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy. I have absolutely no idea what I wished for back then, but whatever it was I’m just going to say that it came true because I’m so happy about where I am now.

This was my first trip to Europe back in 2014 when I was in college. I spent a summer studying Photography abroad with a group of 40 other students and I didn’t know a single one of them. I saved up every penny I could to go on this trip and literally came home with $136 in my bank account - I don’t recommend that part 😂😅

This trip really sparked my love for travel and my desire to see the world. To say that I was pushed out of my comfort zone both personally and culturally is an understatement, but I am so incredibly glad that I had the opportunity to do it.

So whatever your wish is for 2025, I hope you have the opportunity to make it come true and I challenge you to step outside your comfort zone because you never know what you might find!

As 2024 comes to an end I look back and am so grateful and proud of everything that it brought.
