IRELAND 2024
If Ireland is on your bucket list... you will not want to miss this small and custom tour. See beautiful scenery, eat delicious food, learn the history form a local guide/ driver on a Luxury bus. Beauty all around you and staying in quaint hotels. Plenty of free time to explore this fantastic unique, romantic and wonderful country. All while having mighty craic with new friends and enjoying the singing and dancing which is a big part of the Irish culture.

DAY 1 - 20 SEPTEMBER: Pick up at Dublin airport and drive into Dublin City, and the Phoenix Park. Check into your hotel then the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure. Dinner on your own tonight. (BB) DUBLIN 1 night

DAY 2 - 21 SEPTEMBER: Depart Dublin after breakfast with an interesting drive to Northern Ireland with lovely views crossing the famous River Boyne, scene of the infamous 1690 battle of King William and King James. You will also get views of the Mourne Mountains. Arriving in Belfast, you will be taken on overview tour of the East and West parts of the city, Queens University built in the 1850s, Stormont Government Buildings and the Harland & Wolffe Shipyard where the ill-fated Titanic was built. Free time will be given for lunch in the city centre, perhaps in one of the pubs in the Old Quarter area. Your TD will make recommendations on the day. In the afternoon, the coach will drive along the breathtakingly picturesque Antrim Coastline overlooking Scotland, northwards to Portrush for a 2-night stay in the famous Giants Causeway Hotel. DAY 3 - 22 SEPTEMBER: An enjoyable morning at leisure, walking down to the Giants Causeway, composed of inter-locking hexagonal Basalt rock columns, a geological treasure of 70 million years. The coach/bus will be available for perhaps a trip to Carrick-a-Reed Rope Bridge among many other choices. (DBB) PORTRUSH 2/2 nights

DAY 4 - 23 SEPTEMBER: After breakfast, drive across North Antrim to the city of Derry with perhaps a mid-morning visit to Bushmills Whiskey tour. Then an overview of the Derry city walls and a visit to the Derry City Museum. Check in for a 3-night stay in the City Hotel. After dinner free time to visit one of the many pubs for music and craic. DAY 5 - 24 SEPTEMBER: A free morning to explore Derry city and its’ historical past. Suggested afternoon visit to Omagh in County Tyrone and the American Folk Park dedicated to the many from the area who emigrated to North America and Canada from 1700 up to the end of the 19TH century. In fact, Derry city was a place of huge emigration for people from North-West Ulster. Return to the hotel for evening dinner with free time later to continue to explore the city’s nightlife. DAY 6 - 25 SEPTEMBER: Excursion to County Donegal as far as Glencolumbkille where St Columb left to bring Christianity to Derry and onto Scotland. Choice of excursions – visit Glenveagh Castle & National Park OR Ardara, home to Donegal Tweed OR maybe take the ferry from Buncranna across to Rathmullen Bay where Ulster’s Earls left in 1607 for Europe. Return to hotel for evening at leisure in the city. (DBB) DERRY 3/3 nights

DAY 7 - 26 SEPTEMBER: After breakfast, depart for Galway stopping off in Sligo, home to Ireland’s national poet, William Butler-Yeats. An afternoon tour of Galway city along the river Corrib and free time to explore the many, many quaint pubs and restaurants, particularly along Shop Steet. Dinner on your own before taking the bus to nearby Maldron Hotel Oranmore, just on the edge of the city on the beautiful Galway Bay (BB) GALWAY 1 night

DAY 8 - 27 SEPTEMBER: A lovely day ahead touring the iconic carboniferous limestone area know as the Burren and a visit to the majestic Cliffs of Moher, Ireland’s second most visited site after Guinness’ Brewery in Dublin. In the afternoon take a ferry across the River Shannon from County Clare to the Kingdom of County Kerry and a 3-night stay in Killarney. (DBB) KILLARNEY 1/3 night

DAY 9 - 28 SEPTEMBER: A tour around the picturesque Di**le Peninsula with plenty of free time. Dinner in the hotel this evening. (DBB) KILLARNEY 2/3 night

DAY 10 -29 SEPTEMBER: Free day around Killarney, Ireland’s mecca for tourism. A Killarney Lake boat trip or a Jaunting Car ride are a tradition when visiting this picturesque paradise. Dinner is on your own with lots of good choices. (BB) KILLARNEY 3/3 night

DAY 11 - 30 SEPTEMBER: Check out and say ‘au revoir’ to the County of Kerry! Traveling north-eastward have an overview of the monastic site of the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary before visiting the medieval town of Kilkenny with its’ Victorian remodeled Norman defensive Castle, before heading to County Wicklow for a 2-night stay. DAY 12 - 1 OCTOBER: Tour of the Garden County of Ireland, County Wicklow is situated on the doorstep of Dublin. There are picturesque villages, mountains, and sandy beaches. Perhaps visit the famous St Kevins Cell in Glendalough which dates back over one thousand years, while the Upper & Lower Lakes give rise to the spectacular Poulanass Waterfall. June 1st, Day 1- Arrive in Munich Germany. Damian will pick up at the Munich airport in the A.M. In time for an afternoon guided tour of the Imperial City of Salzburg, Austria. Taking in the main sites of the city. 2 nights (B)
June 2nd, Day 2- After breakfast meet the guide for a Sound of Music tour with the coach, outside of the city. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Overnight in Salzburg (B)
June 3rd, Day 3- Travel to the lakes area with a full day exploring the lakes region with stops at Fuschl, St Gilgenand, and St Wolfgang, with time at leisure in each location. Dinner at the hotel / Overnight in the lakes area 1 night (B&D)

Day 10- A day around Lake Leman (Lake Geneva) Visit Chaplin’s World in Charlie Chaplin’s former home, now a museum. Continue around the lake to the lovely city of Lausanne with free time to explore. June 12th, Day 12- Depart for the lakeshore town of Interlaken, situated between the lakes of Thun and Brienz. Continue to Alpnachstad and take the cog railway up Mount Pilatus. Continue onto Lucerne for free time in the city. Travel on to Zurich. 1 night (B)
June 13th, Day 13- Take a short morning guided tour of the old city, famed as a global financial center. Continue onto Lake Konstanz, with free time in the pretty lakeshore town of Konstanz. These are custom tours so if you would like to fly in and out of a different city, we will help guide you to catch up with the tour starting July 20th in Munich Germany, or Salzburg Austria. These are all overnight flights from the U.S. so flights will need to leave by the 19th of July. If you would like to go a few days early please let me know. I will be doing that as well.
