Great River Tactical was developed with life experiences in mind, courses are designed to prepare the student with the physical and mental skills needed to defend and protect themselves and those around them. In any encounter, the body has natural responses that will affect the mind and basic instincts. Through your training, you will gain valuable knowle
dge to turn these responses into positive reactions that will allow you to survive and react. GRT instructors have a varying range of experience, from the Firefighter, EMT, Police officer to Combat veteran. Every instructor will bring combat experience to enhance and reinforce the class learning. Upon completion, our students and instructors will have learned from each other and leave with confidence, efficiency, and proficiency with their defensive weapons. It is our goal that every student leaves with the skills and knowledge to protect and defend while maintaining a level of self control. The courses are challenging and physically demanding, but you will walk away. GRT believes in protecting and honoring the Earth. That is why, we have decided to keep it in our best interests to consume as little as possible. We've taken many steps to insure a "greener" future for our young ones and generations to come. GRT has initiated a recycling program which includes providing recycling receptacles at during our courses. We collect glass, aluminum cans, metals, plastics and of course paper products. We collect them and will turn them into recycling centers to be either disposed of properly or turned into another consumer good... lowering our negative marks on the Earth. One of our guilty pleasures at GRT, is using old and unuseable cars for tactical maneuvering practice. Instead of making a car junk by opening it up with a few bullet holes, we use vehicles already tagged for the junk yard. The car will then be processed after the training course, and all parts will be scrapped or recycled properly and responsibly. We use this practice with many other items used during our courses. GRT has also made it an initiative to switch our practicing ammo over to "Green Ammo". This special type of ammunition utilizes non-lead based metals. Who wants their property riddled with lead waste? No, this is not a gimmick to make our company appear better than others... this is a genuine mission statement we also hold to in our personal lives. We are training to better our preparedeness and preserve a better future for generations to come.
