The end of the road is where the beauty starts. Naturally we thought we’d take the bikes out on the first sunny chance we get to see how far we can go. The Emerald bay section of 89 on Lake Tahoe is closed and looks like it will be until early June. This year’s record snowfall in the Sierra is giving nature a well deserved rest and (short) reprieve from the decade long drought.

Whenever the air clears above Lake Tahoe, guess what’s the first thing we do… This Summer has been a devastating one in terms of forest fires in Northern California as you might have heard. We can feel the effects of climate change first hand in the Sierra Nevada with fewer snow storms and a fire season that starts earlier.

We want to give praise to all firefighters everywhere! 👩‍🚒 Theirs is more than just a job, it’s a mission. Thank you.

So grateful to have realized a bucket list dream! Co-founder “climbed” 3700m+ of twisty Alpine perfection aboard his rental The weather in the high Alps is very unpredictable, so keeping an eye on hour-by-hour high elevation precipitation and snow is crucial. Luck was on our side this day 🙏 Happy to share any advice if you are considering a ride in that area or in our home turf of California.

Surreal to be back in the Alps, this time on the Austrian side. Starting the day in Mozart and Hayden’s hometown. Super jet lagged but stoked to wake up super early to catch the first sun rays over the city. Riding through the many alpine lakes today with the usual Stiegl beer stops 🍺

“I don’t feel like taking a ride today” - said no motorcyclist ever. There’s magic while riding with (light) snow flurries.

Day 2 video of @saf1 ‘s Western Ride to Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. The ascent to Bryce Canyon national park. It’s taken some time to compile the photos and videos and here they are! This has been a stunning ride and a tough ride at times, with scary strong cross-winds on the plains, I got rained on, snowed on, did tarmac, off road, and weathered temps from 25F (-4C) all the way to 100F (38C). I know already that as soon as I’m back and rested from this trip, I’ll want to get back on and plan the next one. There’s something a little masochistic and terribly rewarding about adventure.
