Fathers Day
Who’s your Favorite Disney Dad
Travel Tip Thursday!
When entering the parks, take the extra few steps to walk to the furthest scan point! They often have little to no wait!
And when entering the parks and ride lines where you have a choice always go left! Most people are right handed and will turn right.
And when a cast member ask you “how many in your party” then send you to the longer line. It’s simply to divide guest into even and odd parties to fill the most seats. This helps keep wait times lower even though you think you may be being sent to a longer line!
Pixar’s UP celebrates 15 years today! Did you know you can meet Kevin, Russel, and Doug the talking dog at Disney’s Animal Kindgom?!
Autism Acceptance Month Travel Tip of the Day
If someone in your party struggles with waiting in line unfortunately DAS does not help with lines and merchandise stores or food locations! Did you know that several shopping locations have mobile check out? Our family utilizes mobile check out often when the lines are long and the kids are ready to go but mom and dad want that one last souvenir! And mobile order can save you lots of time during your day by not having to wait in line, just order your food and click prepare my order when you’ve arrived at the quick service location!
Autism Acceptance Month Travel Tip of the Day
There’s no reward at the end of your vacation for children who do not use a stroller ! Even if your child hasn’t used the stroller for a while, they may need one on a Disney vacation that often require up to 10 miles of walking per day! If your child is too large for a stroller, a wheelchair can also be rented. Thankfully, we only needed one for two days of our vacation and we chose to rent at the park. But if you know you will need accommodations for the length of your stay, sometimes renting from an outside agency can be more cost-effective. Kingdom strollers in Orlando medical rentals are two companies that have great reviews!
About an hour before fireworks we let the kids sit and rest while we take turns going to get snacks. I won the snack grab with a “Minnie” kitchen sink from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor!

When a child is close to the height requirement they may be asked to step over to check if they are tall enough (I’ll add pictures of a few in the comments)
They must stand straight up with their feet flat on the ground and “bump their head” (the cast members do a good job of padding the arm) This also requires them to stand alone a few steps away from their party for a moment. This can be a challenge for some children. So practicing every day can help alleviate some of the fear when it’s time to do so at the parks.
Prior to travel I provide all my clients with a height chart to see what their child can ride. Because getting there and finding out they are too small to ride the ride they were most excited for can be very detrimental. Placing a big X over the rides as a visual reminder that they are too small for that ride can be helpful and set the expectation before arriving.
Do NOT pad your child’s shoes or try to spike their hair to make them taller. Your child’s safety is the #1 priority! We can postpone your trip till they grow that half inch or plan another trip for when they are tall enough!

Using a public restroom can be difficult for guest on the spectrum with all the multiple automatic flushes or noisy hand dryers! And sometimes if someone in the party needs assistance with the restroom the regular stalls can be inconvenient. Disney has companion restroom that you can use to avoid as many triggers as possible or have a little more room to work with! Finding these restroom can be done on the MDE app. Selecting restrooms under the wait time drop down and then select the restroom closest to you to see if it’s labeled as a companion restroom.

Foodie Friday!
Mobile ordering from my favorite quick service location in Magic Kingdom, Casey’s Corner, is as easy as choosing a time and what you would like to eat! You can order from anywhere in the park at any time! Just select the time you would like to eat and after completing your order ensure you are at the location before requesting your order to be prepared. You will then be notified what window to make your way to to pick up your hot and ready food!
Travel Tip Thursday!
Did you know that making dining reservations has never been easier! Now instead of searching one day at a time you can now search a range of dates all at once. Select the location you wish to dine and the party size then the range of date and all the available options will show up!
The My Disney Experience app has so much to offer!
From attraction details, wait times & hight requirements to character times and locations! Entertainment times and locations and photo pass examples and locations as well! This app has all the information you could ever need while exploring the most magical place on earth! Prior to travel all of my clients are trained on how to navigate the app so they are MDE pros too! If you are ready to plan your magical adventure but don’t know where to start or worry about being “lost” I’m here to help you every step of the way!
