Want the chance to name a white rhino in Zimbabwe? One of our long-time partners @imvelosafarilodgeszim is getting ready to reintroduce white rhinos to Zimbabwe’s Hwange National park, and a $25 donation allows you to vote for their names! We are honored to have supported this innovative conservation project over the years. WT travelers were there for the arrival of the first two rhinos in 2022, and will be there to greet the newest duo this year as well! When you join us on any of our Zimbabwe safaris, you’ll visit these magnificent creatures for a behind-the-scenes tour of their sanctuary on foot with the rhino rangers.

A small private park that preserves a third of Madagascar’s remaining tamarind forest, Berenty Reserve is one of the best places on Earth to see the acrobatic sifaka lemurs, known for their death-defying tree leaps and the sideways hops they use to “dance” across the ground.

Spectacular wildlife, striking landscapes, and an otherworldly color palette make Namibia a photographer’s dream. 🎥: WT adventurer Emma Kulkarni on our In the Realm of the Desert Lion Conservation Safari
“Spending two weeks in some of the most remote parts of Namibia to see desert adapted lions, elephants, rhinos, and giraffes was an absolute dream come true. The particular trip that I went on also had a heavy focus on wildlife conservation (… I mean, hello, it’s called a conservation safari, lol). We had the wonderful opportunity to meet with locals who are on the frontlines working to protect and conserve the wildlife in these remote areas. It made the trip much more fulfilling and impactful to not only view all this wildlife, but to get a closer look at what is being done to protect these delicate enviornments and animals.” 🎥+ ✍️: WT adventurer @emmaexpedition on our In the Realm of the Desert Lion Conservation Safari

Video from Londolozi, our lodging of choice on our Private Journeys through South Africa. Londolozi, meaning “protector of all living things” in Zulu, was the first game reserve in the world to be accorded Relais & Chateaux status. With over 40,000 acres of private land to explore and an unfenced border with famous Kruger National Park, the “Big Five” game viewing is out of this world.
