This is our very own Miss JaseyRae Jones…. At six years old she has more hutszpa and get-up-&-do- it attitude than people three times her age.
Her parents own Monsters pizza in Floral City and we have all grown to know and love them as a Floral City family. This little lady has quite a future ahead of her and I’d like to see floral city and its community get behind her. You can stop in the shop and drop off any donations to help her get where she’s going in racing. I can tell you it’s going to be far 🙂. You can also use this go fund me page to donate.
Mike & Tatjana are giving this girl an amazing example of what it is to live your life and enjoy your spirit. They are great parents and friends and they could appreciate and use your help and helping her to reach her dreams.

TRILBY POST OFFICE IS STAYING OPEN!

Great news! The Trilby Post Office will NOT be closing on July 18 as previously announced.

You do NOT need to move your postal service to another post office...You can KEEP your post office box at the Trilby Post Office. Please help spread the good news!

Some have already been hearing for several days that the post office "may" be remaining open. While details are still being finalized, it has been requested that this "official/unofficial" notice be made to assure everyone that the Trilby Post Office is here to stay! Please continue to support the purchase of postal services at our Trilby Post Office.

Thank you to all involved. For over 136 years, the Trilby Post Office has provided continuous service to our community and thankfully that will continue.

OLDEST SHIPWRECK IN THE EVERGLADES: Complete with a hand riveted locomotive boiler, this shipwreck in Pelican Bay, Lake Okeechobee measures 45’ x 30’ and is likely the remains of the Hamilton Distton Dredge. The dredge was operated by the Menge Brothers and was used during the 1880s to cut the canal that connected Lake Okeechobee to the Caloosahatchee Canal. This is the oldest American wreck in Lake Okeechobee, and was discovered by archaeologists in 2007 after the drought had lowered the lake’s water level enough to expose it.
