I take the hassle out of sorting through countless tours and activities by crafting a travel itinerary specifically for you. Let's face it, sometimes we have access to too much information. Google 'tours of Italy' and you'll get more than 8 million results. Google 'see the northern lights' and you'll get more than 200 million results! You don't even want to know how many results 'things to do in P

aris' returns. You don't have time to sift through all of this. Now that you've found me, you don't have to. I help busy travelers research, plan, and book authentic adventures and experiences all over the globe. From trekking to Machu Picchu to taste-testing craft brews in London, visiting penguin colonies in Antarctica to skipping the line at the Colosseum, or exploring Central Park to a cooking class in Mexico - I'm here to help. Adventure isn't just about climbing the highest mountain, swimming with sharks, or jumping out of planes. It's not always about being active or fit. Adventure can be whatever you want it to be - visiting new places, trying new things, eating local food, and meeting new people. Authentic moments and unforgettable experiences, all customized to your personal travel preference. Let's start planning your next adventure.

What a way to wrap up an incredible week in the Azores!

Our last day on Terceira was packed with adventure, starting with a visit to Ponta dos Biscoitos. The volcanic rock pools and dramatic coastline made it easy to see why this spot is a favorite. Then it was off to the wine museum at Brum Winery, where we got a taste of the island’s traditions, and Natal Cave, where stepping underground felt like walking into another world.

Lunch was at Pousada Forte Angra do Heroísmo, a historic gem tucked into the UNESCO-listed town of Angra do Heroísmo. Afterward, we made our way to Serro de Cume, where the views of the island stretched out endlessly. Those checkerboard fields and lush green hills are something I’ll never forget.

And then there was the grand finale - a vibrant Azores Islands Colour Party at Quinta da Nasce Água. It was the perfect way to celebrate not just the beauty of these islands but the incredible people we shared the journey with.

Because honestly, that’s the best part of these adventures: the people. From the warm and welcoming locals to the other Canadian advisors, reps, and trade press who shared this journey - the connections you make are what truly stick with you.

A huge thank you to ACTA, Visit Azores, Visit Portugal, and all the amazing local travel partners for hosting us. The Azores are full of beauty, culture, and surprises, and I can’t wait to help more travelers experience them for themselves.

Yesterday was another incredible day in the Azores, filled with new sights and experiences. We started with a quick flight from Ponta Delgada to Terceira on SATA Airlines. It was so short - less than an hour - that by the time you get settled, it feels like you’re already landing.

After a bite to eat, we set out on a brief city tour of Angra do Heroísmo, a town brimming with charm and history. It’s no surprise it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its beautifully preserved architecture and cobblestone streets. Highlights included the serene Duke Garden, a few of the town’s striking churches, and some postcard-worthy ocean views.

Lunch was at Quinta do Martelo, where we got a real taste of the island’s traditional flavors and hospitality.

My accommodations for this part of the trip at Shipyard, where I have a one-bedroom apartment with living room, small kitchen, a king bedroom, and a small balcony. While it doesn't have the ocean view of my previous hotel, it's only minutes from the ocean here on the island.

To wrap up the day, we dined at Terceira Mar Hotel - a lovely end to the day.

Terceira has a vibe that feels both historic and laid-back, a place where every corner seems to have a story to tell. I can’t wait to see what today has in store!

Yesterday was packed with adventure, starting in the steamy Furnas Valley. At Caldeira Velha, we soaked in the sights (and smells - ugh, rotten eggs!) of bubbling geothermal springs. Over at Caldeira do Vulcão das Furnas, the ground was alive with steam vents and boiling pots, while locals were busy setting up a charming nativity scene that popped up around every corner. The fountains there offered “refreshing” sips of naturally flavored spring water that locals believe are good for various ailments, but let’s just say most of them are not delicious.

Next, we headed to the Gorreana Tea Factory to see how tea goes from field to cup. I even tried a sample, though as someone who doesn’t like tea, my verdict was: still tea.

Lunch was a real highlight at Casino Terra Nostra, where we tried cozido, a regional stew slow-cooked underground by volcanic heat. Think earthy, hearty flavors - but I had the veggie version, which was filling and less… meaty.

We capped off the afternoon wandering Terra Nostra Park, with its exotic plants and peaceful paths. Sadly their thermal pool was undergoing some maintenance.

The day ended at the charming Solar da Graça for dinner and some excellent live rock covers. The band was so good they made me forget I'm running on a few hours of sleep a night. A perfect finish to a very full day!

Some days, nature just leaves you speechless.

Picture this: the sun sparkling on the Atlantic, the wind in your hair, and the thrill of spotting life just beneath the surface. That’s exactly what happened when we headed out with Picos de Aventura for a whale-watching adventure in the Azores.

The marine biologist Alejandro - his excitement was contagious as he and the team shared how the Azores are one of the best places in the world for marine life. And they weren’t kidding. We were lucky enough to spot two types of dolphins - their sleek bodies leaping alongside the boat, playful and curious. They felt so close it was like they were showing off just for us.

We also saw some s***m whales! These massive creatures are humbling to see in person and it’s hard to describe the feeling of witnessing something so majestic in its natural habitat.

If you're visiting the Azores, I can’t recommend this experience enough. It’s a reminder of just how incredible our planet is - and why we should protect it.

(P.S. If you're dreaming of an Azores adventure, let's chat - I’d love to help plan it for you once I'm home.)

This morning's conference here in the Azores was a real eye-opener (in a great way), but I’m saving that for another post because the sustainability efforts here deserve their own spotlight.

The afternoon, though - wow! It was all about soaking in some of the jaw-dropping scenery of São Miguel. We started with a visit to Sete Cidades, where the blue and green lakes create a picture-perfect view. From there, we drove along the edges of volcanic craters, the roads lined with towering hydrangeas, even in November.

This island feels like it was made to be explored and I'll definitely be back to do just that.

Sometimes, travel days can feel like a blur, but there’s something magical about stepping off an overnight flight and landing somewhere completely new. Hello Sao Miguel island!

After a quick rest at the beautiful Octant Hotel to shake off the travel haze, I met up with our group and Frederico, our local guide. Wandering the streets of Ponta Delgada, he shared tales of the island’s history and culture - little details I never would have discovered on my own.

As the sun started to set, I found myself on the balcony at my hotel, enjoying a coffee and watching the harbor glow in soft shades of orange and pink. Day one wrapped up with dinner at Pedras do Mar.

One thing I’ve loved so far is the sound of the Portuguese language. English is widely spoken here, but hearing Portuguese is the beautiful layer of authenticity I crave when I travel.

So far, the Azores have a quiet charm, and I’m looking forward to seeing what tomorrow holds as we head outside the city.
