Client Review: Adults Only Occidental Papagayo – Costa Rica

Thanks so much for checking in and for your help with this trip!

Overall, we had an amazing time! The weather was outstanding! Very hot, over 30 everyday! The resort itself was beautiful. Very well taken care of, clean, the drinks were great - lots of ice, cold and they could literally make anything you ask for! The food at the buffet and lunch spot was the best, restaurants were okay, a little hard to book and not as yummy as the buffet and lunch but overall no complaints. There were two pools, one was very hot and sunny, they engaged in daily pool games and played music, always lots of seating. The other had the swim up pool with great bartenders, some shady spots, nice washrooms, and again always lots of seating. The beach was only a few short steps away and was clean and we enjoyed some massages on the beach! We went on two tours and would highly recommend both, vans were clean and our guides were amazing! All in all, I would definitely recommend this resort!
A few things to note for picky travellers, there is a lot of walking and stairs so this may be difficult for those that have mobility issues. The room service itself was mediocre, not always clean towels, and the minbar and coffee were not consistently filled, but the rooms itself and the view was great! Finally, there are a lot of racoons on site, especially at night and they can travel with three to four together which can be a little nerve racking given it gets dark early but they did not bother us if we travelled in groups and yelled at them, lol! Thanks again.
