I landed in Bueno’s Aires, Argentina yesterday and the city is gorgeous - lively, beautiful architecture, and lovely people.

So many options for adventure in Juneau! One of my favorites is the canoe to Mendenhall Glacier. Kayaking is nice, too, but the canoe is fun because there is more people (and, less work!). Make sure to stop in to the Red Dog Saloon for great entertainment & a duck fart (trust me!).

Expedition cruises are very fluid - you need to accept that weather, seas and possibly ice (in the polar regions) can very likely change your itinerary. But, there are also unexpected surprises. Today our captain on the Silver Wind was able to navigate us to view the A23a iceberg. The iceberg is larger than the size of Oahu!
It was spectacular and pictures don’t do it justice!

Valparaiso is a port town not far from Santiago. It’s such a fun, vibrant city. Hector, my partner guide, is from Valparaiso and took us to all the best places for street art and played photographer. I felt like I was getting my senior pictures, lol!

My partner-guide in Santiago took us on a tour of Valparaiso yesterday. Along the way, we stopped at his friend Rosita’s house. She was so lovely and fed us the most delicious Pastel de Choclo right out of her oven. It’s corn pie with seasoned beef and onions.
I work with incredible guides all over the world. Meeting and developing partner relationships is one of my favorite parts of my job. Right after making my clients travel dreams come true ❤️

Somehow two of the best days didn't post! For those of you wondering...

Days 2 & 3 of my DV cruise will take us to Montevideo, Uruguay where we will enjoy an overnight stop allowing for plenty of time to explore this beautiful city. With two days you will have time to explore the city by bike, car or foot on one of the many included tour options. Take another day to head outside of the city for a winery tour & tasting or visit a traditional estancia and learn about gaucho life.

On Day 4 we will be visiting Punta del Este, Uruguay. Spend the day taking a bike tour of the city and visiting Sea Wolves island, home to thousands of sea lions. Or, head inland to a winery and farm for cheese and wine tastings. There is also an option for an Olive Oil tasting in the countryside or a chance to visit a classic car museum. So many options!
