In lots of urban areas you'll find these "paint and sip" type businesses popping up where you can attend a 2-3 hour class and walk away with a painting YOU created, all while enjoying a cocktail with friends. Painting parties are a fun and relaxing way to gather with friends to socialize and let your inner artist come out. It's all simple and completely stress free! Absolutely no painting experien
ce is needed, and I take care of all the art supplies. Best of all, I come to your location! I know you may be thinking.........
But what about us creative folks out in the little rural towns? Or maybe your schedule just won't work with what "paint and sip" locations have to offer? Or maybe you have your heart set on painting a very specific painting? What if you just really want to paint with just a small group of close friends in the privacy and comfort of your own home? Or maybe you want to create a painting that isn't a "cookie cutter" like everyone else's? Then Brush Therapy is for You!!! I come to you working on your schedule. A painting party will last 2-3 hours. I will lead you step by step in painting the image that you choose. Though all the guests may follow the same instructions I encourage you to branch out and experiment with colors and textures and whatever you can imagine. You'll be surprised how different and unique your guests' paintings will turn out to be! You provide: tables, table clothes, chairs, ARTISTS (minimum dependent upon distance from my home location in Dodge City) and maybe some refreshments. I'll bring the rest (canvases, paint, brushes, etc.)!

Starting in August I would like to have the monthly Brush Therapy Classes again at Carnegie Arts Dodge City. I would love to get your feedback on the best days and times to have the classes. I am excited to see everyone again, it has been too long since we were all in creative fellowship together! Please use this link to fill out the google form. Hello everyone! I appreciate everyone’s patience during my short break finishing up my Educational Leadership Masters through K-State. Last class is at the end of this month!! YEAAHHH!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I went to purchase supplies a couple of weeks ago and was shocked that the paint prices have tripled over this past year. I hate to do this, but I am going to have to increase my fees by $5.00. The larger paintings 16x20” will be $40 and the smaller paintings 11x14” will be $30. I know that everyone is feeling the need to stretch those dollars farther and farther. Let’s all hope that things level out soon. Thank you so much for your business and support.

Last night we got ‘Cozy By The Fire’! At the Nazarene church in Dodge City. These painters did an amazing job painting their decorative sock pairs and fireplaces! I love how they all turned out. I enjoyed the laughs and conversations, I think we all needed a little Brush Therapy last night. Thank you so much for continuing to book me.

I had such a fun time in Cimarron with the Girl Scouts group. These young ladies created the cutest puppies with ALL the personality!! Thanks so much for booking me, I had such a great time leading these artists!

When you get the text “Aunt Kiki would you do a painting party for Harper’s 10th birthday party?” It’s a no brainer! Harper loves otters and we did an Otter-ly Awesome birthday party. I loved listening to the girls talk and giggle as they painted. Thanks so much for including me in your double digit day Harper Jae!

I had so much fun with the painters for Spearville Recreation! Beautiful day and amazing painters. Thank you all so much for having me, I appreciate your fellowship and talents. I didn’t get group shots, hopefully April got some to share, I just love the variety of colors, flowers and talents. Great job.

Had a great time doing a birthday party for some awesome kiddos this afternoon in Cimarron. I love the different personalities of each jack-o-lantern, plus we learned that taping our plates to the table cloth keeps them from flying all over, thank goodness!

"Some Bunny Loves Me" Mini and Me Painting Party coming up Saturday, April 29th, at the Satanta Community Building from 10:00 to noon. Children must be accompanied by an adult to paint, (recommended ages 3 and older.)
Cost is $25 per adult (library will cover child/ren cost). Please reserve your spots by Friday, April 21st.
Adults may choose to paint alone! Fee includes all supplies/instructions and light snacks.

Had a fun group Carnegie Center for the Arts Friday night. We were Feeling the Love with some abstract hearts. I enjoyed watching all the experiments and techniques everyone experimented with. Thank you all for spending an evening creating with me! See you next month.
