We are very sad to hear today of the passing of Laura Kath. Laura was an integral and enthusiastic champion and promoter of the Santa Barbara Car Free program and had been since the program was started by Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District more than 20 years ago. We will miss her and the positivity she brought with her wherever she went. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

The new Charger locomotives that are coming to the Pacific Surfliner service were manufactured by Siemens in their solar-powered plant in Sacramento. The locomotive uses parts built across the U.S.
