What’s better than using your own handmade paint palette while glazing your pinch pot polar bear??

I love both of these projects, especially the paint palette, I’ve attempted many versions over the years with students and finally got it right!! 😊

Tis the season for cookies and toys! Studio 2 You was a vendor for a toys for tots toy drive this last weekend. Of course I forgot a picture of the fire truck filled with toys, but everyone had a blast decorating their cookies.

Wanna guess how many cookies I made?! 🫣

Photo dump!!! So much has been happening lately and I’m horrible about posting on the regular, so here you go.

Diwali Peacock follow up. Now that they were glazed and fired students took them home with LED candles.

Another class made their own stamps for clay, this one was inspired by her new puppy Duffy.

Same class made pencil holders as layered slab animals.

Lastly I was able to work with another group from Open Doors MultiCultural Families making pinch pot projects, they were so creative.

Today I popped in at the craft fair that Kat and Amy had a booth at. Many of the pieces here I fired for them. I even purchased 2 pieces I had been eyeing. 🥰

My daughter and I supported 7 small businesses today and some of the proceeds go back to Seattle public school. Feeling good about our choices today.

The wind storm and Thanksgiving have me in my feelings. I’m extremely grateful for this life. I’m thankful for my small business and goals I have set to be in the place I am today. 😊

Oh, and I’m thankful for this snuggly pup Buddy.

A few weeks ago I attended the Wa art educator conference and learned how to Batik. Batiking is a traditional Indonesian art form of hand-printing textiles using wax and dyes to create patterns. I had so much fun and can’t wait to start brainstorming art lessons.
