Clearing Old Trauma: Healing the Body, Mind, and Spirit

Hey there, lovely souls,

Today, I want to dive into a topic that might not be the easiest to talk about, but it's one that carries immense importance: clearing old trauma. We all have our own baggage, those bits of pain and hurt that we carry with us from our past experiences. Sometimes, we don't even realize how much these past wounds can impact our present moments.

Have you ever noticed how certain memories or emotions seem to linger in your body, causing tension or discomfort? That's because trauma has a sneaky way of lodging itself into our very beings. It's like a stubborn stain that refuses to fade away, no matter how much we try to scrub it out.

But here's the thing: when we ignore or suppress these old wounds, they don't just disappear. Instead, they manifest themselves in different ways, often as blockages or even diseases within our physical bodies. Our emotional pain becomes physical pain, our unresolved issues manifest as illnesses or chronic conditions.

It's like carrying around a heavy backpack full of rocks everywhere we go. Eventually, those rocks start to weigh us down, affecting our posture, our movement, our very way of being in the world.

So, how do we begin to lighten the load? How do we release the grip of old trauma on our bodies and minds?

One powerful tool in this journey is somatic movement. Family, friends and clients: My cell phone is not working. I woke up this morning with zero charge. I plugged in to back up chargers and still nothing. Not sure if it's the battery or the charging port. I dropped my phone off for service this morning but due to their workload, it will not be ready for pick up until around 530 today. I dont have access to my calendar or phone numbrs. My apologies. I know I had three clients lined up for today, but obviously cant see my entries.
