DO Check your passport expiration dates - a lot of countries require your passport to be valid for 6 months AFTER you return home. Some have a 3 month post travel rule!

If it will not be valid for that long after you return to the US, you may be denied boarding your flight for your vacation (yes, I'm serious) !

Countries with THREE MONTH POST TRAVEL VALIDITY RULES include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Countries with SIX MONTH POST TRAVEL VALIDITY RULES include: The Dominican Republic, mainland China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Burma, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, and Turkey.

Tuesday Did You Know - The Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle (honu) is an endangered and protected animal dearly loved and revered in the Hawaiian Islands and culture.

The honu continues to be sacred to many Hawaiian families today. For some in Hawaiʻi, honu are ‘aumākua, or spiritual guardians.

If you are in Hawaii and lucky enough to find a honu basking on the sand, please keep your distance - take pictures and just enjoy being in this beautiful animal's presence - if you are in the water and get to snorkel with one - same thing. Do Not Touch!

The other reason for the hands off policy is, they are Endangered and protected - harassing a honu can result in fines up to $100K and jail time so - don't do it ;)

They can dive up to 1500 feet and stay under for up to 5 hours
They can live up to 100 years and females like to return to the beach where they hatched to lay their eggs
