Life in the wilderness is all about survival of the fittest. Amidst challenges like heavy rain, drought, predators, poaching and human encroachment, basic needs must still be met. Access to food, water and mates ensures the healthy continuation of species. In Hwange National Park, you can witness 106 species living out these fundamentals. Amazing!

Experience Awe. On a Tasimba Safari.

This vast herd of ornery buffalo were huddled together at the waterhole right in front of our camp. Cautious, they watched a pride of lion lurking in the nearby treeline.

All of a sudden, this lone female lioness stood and leaving her pride on patrol, she slinked off far to the right of where the nervous buffalo gathered.

A few minutes later she charged from the bush causing the buffalo to stampede. The waiting lion pride bolted from the underbrush and within moments had successfully made two kills.

The circle of life played out right before our eyes. Wow!

Founded in 2015 by Hugh Coppen, Tasimba is the fulfilment of his lifelong dream to share the transformational power of his beloved African bush with people who pursue personal growth by always wanting to learn more about life and about themselves. Having grown up in Africa and maintained strong bonds there ever since, Hugh has never lost his passion for the wilderness. In his highly successful business career in the US, Canada and the UK, he was a three-time CEO, and is still very active internationally in leadership development.

While Hugh personally leads every Tasimba safari group through their life-changing week, the highly professional Tasimba team under COO Heather Weaver, coordinates every last detail of this extraordinary week to make it a truly unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience.
