For those hitting the ocean and waves this summer.
This is really simple. You can spot a rip current. Unfortunately, it's where it looks easiest and safest to enter the sea. This is because the rip current is looping around and pulling back OUT. Hence no waves rolling IN. NEVER ENTER THE SEA HERE. If you are already in the sea and get caught in a rip current (you'll know because you will suddenly be moved from your location and it will be impossible to swim against it) don't panic. Swim ACROSS, not against the rip current. For example, rather than trying to swim to shore while being pushed out, swim parallel to the beach and you will be able to get out. Then you can swim ashore. Please educate friends or family visiting the beaches this summer. Stay safe ❤️

Hey everyone! In order to streamline communication with our guests, we have merged the pages of all our vacation rentals here. So, if you have stayed or followed Heaven's Perch, The Perch at Gulfview, The Perch at Windsor Hills, The Perch at Grand Panama, or The Perch at Mainsail, you are on the right page! Please message us if you would like a quote to book your upcoming stay directly. We are also in the process of creating our own website to start taking online booking directly, so everyone can bypass those fees that online booking sites charge. It all started with a dream

In 2003 we dreamed of having a little piece of paradise we could call ours and share with others. So, as we expected our first child, we tried to buy our first vacation home, but the market was hot and we could not afford much. The places we thought we could afford we ended up losing to investors with cash. Fast forward to 2011 in a much different market, we were finally able to buy a one bedroom condo in Gulfview, Miramar Beach (Destin). Since it was on the top floor, we decided to call it The Perch at Gulfview. We started renting it out and soon realized that we really enjoyed it. We started becoming good at it too, so in 2013 Heaven’s Perch happened - our little cabin Gatlinburg, TN. We don't rent that one out directly, but if you are interested, please reach out to us and we will be happy to pass on details on how to book it. As we realized our rentals helped us to pay off our properties, we bought our third property in 2015 in the backyard of Walt Disney World - The Perch at Windsor Hills, and the Perch at Grand Panama, in Panama City Beach, FL in 2018. We love Vacation Rentals. So much that we have influenced several friends to also get into business. And, we are always happy when people reach out to us before buying their first property. We've enjoyed great reviews on both Airbnb and VRBO from our guests who come back year after year. We are now thrilled to have our own website www.stayattheperch.com and be able to rent directly to help you get more for your money!
