SOLIDARITY MISSION: DAY 8
Masafer Yatta مسافر يطا 💞
We were treated to a scrumptious dish of maqluba yesterday after spending the afternoon learning about the military expropriation of grazing lands in the South Hebron Hills.
Maqluba, which means "upside down" in Arabic, was the perfect way to end a day thinking about the ways current policies can be reversed and about the culture, poetry, and food that sustains and inspires the communities to insist on their rights.

“In times of war we all feel helpless. Perhaps through music we can spread some hope in our humanity.” – Wissam Gibran
Join us for an extraordinary hour of music and solidarity featuring world class musicians calling for an immediate ceasefire, a return of the hostages, and a democratic future beyond occupation in Palestine/Israel.
We have just received reports that Mustafa Sheta, the Director of the Jenin Freedom Theatre, has been forcibly detained following a military raid on the theater.
Watch this incredible moment where he leads 200 people in our recent webinar in a chant for freedom, saying, "Freedom, freedom, freedom! Huriya, huriya, huriya!"
Let's repeat after him and call for freedom for him and everyone living under unjust occupation ✨✌🫒
Last week as we drove past the checkpoint into the West Bank we gave some opening words about what it meant to be entering occupied territory where Palestinians are subjects of military rule and do not have democratic representation. Join us on our next work days and tours to see the reality for yourself ✨🫒✌
Merry Christmas from all of us at Green Olive 🎁✨🎄
Here is a joyous scene from Manger Square last night in Bethlehem exactly in the place where Jesus is said to have been born over 2000 years ago. Christmas Eve was ushered in with the annual Christmas Parade and the sounds of bagpipes, drums, and cheers.
We wish all who celebrate a meaningful and festive day!
