Established in 1877, Junction City, located along the Yellowstone River between Alder and Nevada City, was founded by Paul McCormick, where his home was the center of much of the social life of the little town. The Rag of the Day is The Lost Lake! This lake is located about a 40 minute drive southeast of Fort Benton. This is part of the Shonkin Sag geological formation outside of Highwood. The lake that is in the bottom of the sag , is surrounded by horseshoe shaped walls of rock that rise between 200 and 300 ft tall. These walls are known as the dry falls. Today’s Rag of the Day is the Clyde Park!! Clyde Park is located in Park County, between White Sulpher Springs and Livingston. This town was originally called Sunnyside, and was founded by a Texas cattlemen. In 1890, the Clyde Park post office was opened, and in 1901 the two towns merged. It’s unclear if Clyde Park was named after Clyde Durand, who was a local rancher, or after John Harvey’s Clydesdale horse. This rag is available in the 44” and 36” option. Allen Montana is named after Cornelia Seward Allen. It was named in 1891 by a party of explorer that included Cornelia’s brother. The elevation of Allen is 9,382 ft. The Stearns is Todays Rag of he Day! Stearns Montana was a small settlement that came along in 1890 with the homesteaders. Located between Wolf Creek and Augusta, it became a focal point for homesteaders in the area. By 1910, there was a school, a post office, and a community hall. This community died around 1921, and today all that is left standing is the Stearns Hall. This rag is available in the 44” and 36” option. Today rag of the day is The Mount Cleveland! This is the highest mountain in Glacier national park. This peak sits at 10,479 ft tall. There have been very few reported fatalities on this mountain, but in 1969 just days after Christmas, 5 mountaineers set out to climb Mount Cleveland. These five climbers hiked up the west face of the mountain, and had the unfortunate luck of being swept away by an avalanche. This rag is available in the 44” and 36” option. MT Wild Rags is located in the heart of Montana on a working Angus ranch. When we set out on this Wild Rag making journey our goal was simple; to offer to our customers everything that we felt was important in a Wild Rag. All of our Wild Rags are poly-blends chosen specifically for their beauty, feel, durability, washability and best of all their affordability.

We put our Wild Rags to the test daily on the ranch, they are tough enough to withstand a hard days work yet beautiful enough to be worn to town. Our standard size Wild Rag is 36” but we offer custom sizes; everything from Newborn sizes to 50”+! The hems on our Wild Rags are guaranteed for the life of the rag and we offer unparalleled customer service all at affordable prices for the average buckaroo or working cowboy/girl!
