I have always loved planning vacations. Just ask my mom. Even as a little girl, I called real 1-800 numbers, talked to real grownups, and had them mail me real travel brochures for my imaginary vacations I planned with my pretend travel agency.
Hi, I’m Alyson Pitzer and I’ve been planning vacations - real and imaginary - since age 8. I love polka dots, Disney, the Royal Family, and ALL THINGS travel related.
I am a fee-free travel agent who has traveled extensively to the destinations I specialize in. When you book your trip with me, you have an advocate, a sounding board, and an expert to help you get the most value for your vacation dollars.
Here are some commonly asked questions about me and my business:
If I can get the same price booking online as I do with you, what is the advantage of using an agent?
By booking online, all you get is a confirmation number and impersonal reminder emails from your supplier.
When you book with me you get someone who cares about you and the memories you make with your loved ones.
I am an advocate for you on your trip. If something goes awry, I am a phone call or email away and do help make things right
How do you get paid if there are no additional fees?
Suppliers build commission into all their pricing. If you book with them, they keep that money. If you book with me, they pay my agency (who then pays me) after you travel.
The price is the exact same whether you book directly with your vacation destination or with me. It's a win-win, you get personal planning and advice all for free and you are supporting a small business without spending anymore money.
There are a lot of travel agencies out there, what makes booking with you different?
I am an experienced, full-time travel agent. I have traveled to many of the destinations I book and maintain my trainings and certifications annually. If I haven't been your your destination, there most likely are agents at Magical Moments Vacations who have and we can provide you with helpful insight and advice when selecting your perfect vacation. I have traveled to Disney World, Disneyland and been aboard Disney cruise ships. I have stayed at several of the Disney World and Disneyland Hotels, and toured ALL of them (as well as the Universal hotels).
I have booked over 100 vacations for clients in the last year, this is my career and my full-time job. I do not do this "on the side" as a hobby.
I can’t wait to help you plan a magical vacation! (Warning: you may not want to come home!)

What inspired you to choose this career?
I have always loved planning vacations. Just ask my mom. As a little girl, I would call travel related 1-800 numbers, talked to real grownups, and have them mail me travel brochures for my imaginary vacations I planned with my pretend travel agency. Jump a few years ahead, and travel agent showed up as a top career choice on the career tests they made us take in school. But it was the mid 90s and the internet was proving to be a useful tool that was making the job of being a travel agent obsolete. Or so I thought...
Also, it was my childhood dream was to visit “The Happiest Place on Earth.” But I didn’t get my chance until I was in college. Some kind-hearted friends let me tag along on their family vacation. Once I went, I was HOOKED! I have not been able to stay away from Disney destinations since. You can find subtle (and not-so-subtle) nods to Disney all over my house. I subscribe to more than one Disney-themed podcast. An embarrassingly large portion of my family’s wardrobe features Mickey Mouse. I am constantly dreaming of my next Disney vacation.
Given my enthusiasm for both Disney and travel, I realized I had two choices: move to Orlando, buy annual passes, and spend all our money on Disney; OR share my love for Disney and vacation planning with the world! I decided to put my passions to work, and I joined the incredible team at Magical Moments Vacations.
Since then I have found my career to be anything but obsolete! I provide a service that people value, and I am happy to do so. I have even been expanding my travel services to include other destinations such as Universal Orlando Resort and Sandals/Beaches in the Caribbean.
What do you find are your favorite destinations to plan? While I love all things Disney, my favorite destinations are Disneyland in California and any of the Adventures by Disney itineraries.
Disneyland is where it all started, where you can literally walk in Walt's footsteps. I love the smaller size of the park and the overall laidback vibe that you don't get in Walt Disney World. Disneyland also offers things you won't find in Florida: Toontown, Marvel characters, Cars Land, and Pixar Pier just to name a few.
With Adventures by Disney, I love that Disney has combined two of my favorite things: seeing the world and the renowned Disney VIP service. Imagine visiting the most amazing places on the planet without any of the stress and worry that normally accompany family travel. These trips are much more than sightseeing- you receive insider access, top notch Adventure Guides to handle all your needs, and opportunities to be immersed in the culture of your destination. With itineraries on 5 continents, you're sure to find something on your bucket list.
What is the best part about working with your clients? Vacations are meant to create memories that last a lifetime. I love making sure those memories are magical, not stressful for my client. Seeing photos from clients' trips and hearing about all their "magical moments" absolutely makes my day.
Describe your most memorable vacation
It's hard to pinpoint my most memorable vacation. I've been to some amazing places: Iceland, London, and several National Parks (another love of mine). But if I had to pick one, it would be taking our son to Walt Disney World for the first time. He was just 16 months old, and I really wanted him to get his first haircut at the Harmony Barbershop on Main Street in Magic Kingdom. It was our first "real" vacation as a family (I refuse to count stays at beach condos because I have to still cook and clean there! 📷;) I was honestly surprised at how much he was able to experience and enjoy at Disney. There were lots of happy tears on my end- the whole trip was a culmination of several dreams realized. I had three miscarriages and then a high-risk pregnancy with my son- so sharing one of my favorite places on earth with him was priceless. He was wide-eyed and filled with wonder for the duration of the vacation. I'll treasure those memories forever.
