Arbor Day Foundation, American Forests and our colleagues and partners in the effort to support reforestation efforts across the United States would like to invite stakeholders to complete this brief 15-minute survey: https://arborday.jotform.com/242685907622060.

We are seeking input from stakeholders who are valued partners or potential collaborators in the network that plans for, plants and grows forest 🌲 seedlings 🌲 on public and private lands across the 🇺🇸. We need your help to identify critical gaps and areas for future investment in the reforestation workforce, nursery systems, planning, partnerships, and ex*****on of reforestation efforts.

We’re proud that, over the course of the last decade, reforestation has been recognized as a critical nature-based solution in America’s forested lands. Our existing network of reforestation partners has deployed significant resources (public and private) to support this important work, and this increased funding is making a difference; however, we also recognize there is a lot of work yet to be done and there are some critical gaps in our current systems. We will use the findings of this survey to identify, target and work on solutions to fill these key gaps.

**This survey will remain open until mid-December 2024**

In addition to completing the survey, please share this message and survey with colleagues in reforestation who may also benefit from participating.

Please direct any additional questions to: [email protected].

Special thank you to Volgenau Climate Initiative for your support of this initiative.

A few weeks ago our team received a phone call from one of our longtime volunteers & who lives on The Bench in Boise. She and her husband are beginning a major remodel that requires the removal of 2 large silver maple 🌳 trees 🌳 on the property. Their wish is to have one of these trees salvaged and made into furniture for their new home.

We would like to thank this local homeowner & friend for picking up the 📞 — Thanks to quick action from several of our partners invested in rescuing trees from the landfill through the Idaho Chapter of , we were able to salvage this beautiful large silver maple tree.

Tom with coordinated a successful felling of the tree by the crew at , then brought in their crane to help load the large log onto a trailer which was taken to where it will be milled into slabs and kiln dried before being crafted into furniture for the home by . That is what we like to call a "full circle" story that was made possible thanks to years of relationship building among these dedicated partners.
