It’s high time for an update folks.

Although work is being done on our building, we do not yet have an occupancy permit, therefore, we still cannot accept reservations for next year. I will post when that changes.

In the meantime we are excited to have contractors on site working on our elevator and seawall.  The good news is all common areas and infrastructure will be brand new when completed.

This place is going to shine and we cannot wait to welcome you all back.

Merry Christmas from your friends at Beachwood on the Bay - Bonita Condo.

It's been over a year since we've been able to enjoy our bayside condo in Bonita Beach, FL, but thankfully progress is being made. On the bright side, the main floor of our building is getting a complete overhaul. Next time you visit, you will get to enjoy a completely new community pool and surrounding area, including newly renovated bathrooms, outdoor showers, storage areas, outdoor picnic & grill area, and seawall. Everything will be shiny and new and ready to welcome you!

Keep us in mind for your 2024 spring, summer, and fall travels.
We eagerly look forward to welcoming you back to our little piece of paradise.

As many of you know, Hurricane Ian brought a tremendous amount of destruction to the Bonita Beach area, and most of the buildings on Hickory Boulevard sustained a tremendous amount of damage. Still, I'm happy to report that our condo unit itself was completely untouched by the hurricane, and aside from an absence of utilities, (water, power and sewer), our unit is perfectly intact.

However, the condo building, grounds, pool and dockage were severely damaged and will require complete reconstruction over the next 6 - 8 months. I'll be sharing updates on the rebuild as things progress, I'm hopeful to be able to begin accepting reservations for the fall of 2023 and all of 2024.

One thing I have to say about SW Florida is that we are a resilient community, and I'm sure that in time, we will all rebuild again stronger than ever!

Making memories on the Beach...

This condo was purchased in 2005 and served our family as a home away from home vacation retreat to escape freezing Ohio weather. My children grew up digging holes in the soft white sand, collecting incredible shells and touching unusual sea creatures. Some days we saw dolphin, sharks, sting rays and one afternoon we even swam with the manatees. Every day here is an adventure, each day holding it’s own slice of beauty and moments to be cherished. Since making Florida our permanent home three years ago, we now look forward to filling our condo with family and soon-to-be friends.
