Within a 3 hour timespan the night sky transformed! Here you can see as the Earth’s shadow is seen on the Moon just before totality.

When the Earth, Sun & Moon align it is called Syzygy, which is a term for when 3 bodies line up in space.

This is a composite of 37 images, each taken 5 minutes apart.

I didn’t expect we would have clear skies, otherwise I would of gone out to a more interesting foreground.
