From 02/10/25: The last day of our multi day trip would have us traveling from Jackson back to Bozeman. We would end up visiting Quake Lake, Big Sky Resort along with having some great wildlife along the way. We would also have a 30 minute delay for a truck slide off in the Gallatin District.

Wildlife included elk, 2 moose, several bighorn sheep, mule deer, swans and bald eagles.

02/05/25: We would begin our next multi day tour as a day of extremes. Extreme temperature swings, winds and snowfall. We would start in Bozeman at -5. By the time we got tot he east end of Yankee Jim Canyon, the temp was -2. Then we drove 2 miles, watching the thermometer quickly rise, and within a couple of minutes (we were traveling 60 mph), the temp was 41 above, a 43 degree temperature change in 2 miles! With that temperature change came strong winds, which would increase throughout the day. By the afternoon, trees were blowing down in the road. Then as we were working our way back, we encountered a heavy snowfall, about 3 inches in an hour, forcing a temporary closure of the North Entrance Road, giving us a delay in Mammoth. By the time we got to Gardiner, the winds have calmed down, the skies began to clear, and the temperature was back down to 19, much cooler than the 42 we saw earlier in the day in Gardiner. The wildlife was hunkered down quite a bit, but we did end up seeing, elk, bison, mule deer, whitetail deer, bald and golden eagles, bighorn sheep, and some wolves that were hunkered down in the distance.
