I hear this a lot this time of year And I totally get it! The holidays are so busy and it's hard to have the mental capacity for one more thing.

But there are several reasons why you should try to book your vacation in December.

1️⃣Room Selection: Waiting until January (along with everyone else) means your room type or hotel might be sold out by the time you get around to booking.
2️⃣Price Increases: Disney usually increases prices at the beginning of the year. You can lock in current pricing by booking now.
3️⃣It's only a $200 deposit to make your reservation. After that you can make payments any way you want up until your balance is due 30 days before your trip.

It’s National Gingerbread House day!

Did you know that there's a life-size gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa each Christmas?

For over 20 years, the magical pastry elves at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa have whisked, baked, and decorated to create the magical gingerbread house that warms guests’ hearts and tempts their taste buds. Sweet smells of ginger and sugar fill the lobby of the hotel every holiday season, as this larger-than-life house is constructed. But, while it’s always a sight to behold (and quite a whiff to sniff), there’s more to all that sugar than meets the eye.

❄️The gingerbread house stands 14 feet tall, using more than 60 sheets of plywood in its foundation, which is the first part of the house to be built.
❄️ With 1,000 feet of trim, this molasses mansion stretches 100 square feet.
❄️ You’ll find white chocolate candy canes, edible snowflakes, sugar poinsettias, and over 10,000 pieces of gingerbread
❄️It takes 1,050 pounds of honey, 700 pounds of chocolate (Anna and Elsa would be reeling), 600 pounds of confectioner’s sugar, and 35 pounds of spices to create the structure.
❄️ 500 hours spent baking gingerbread and 480 hours spent decorating!
❄️ The ingredients include 800 pounds of flour mixed with 140 pints of egg whites.
❄️ Be on the lookout for the 24 hidden Mickeys found throughout the entire display to see if you can find them all!

Don't forget: you can bring some holiday goodness with you home when you leave the hotel! The house doubles as a sweet shop, where gingerbread cookies, shingles, ornaments, and cookie bags are available to take home.

Today is National Christmas Lights Day!! 🎄

I absolutely love when you can start seeing Christmas lights decorating buildings!

But did you know you will find Christmas lights all over Walt Disney World⁉️ Christmas lights & decorations start going up Nov. 1st!

Each park has its own main Christmas tree with lights and decorations. You’ll also find lights adding a festive touch to different areas around the parks.

You can also enjoy the Christmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs, where each tree is beautifully themed!! 🎄

Fun fact‼️ Walt Disney World puts up over 8.5 million Christmas lights across the parks, resorts, & Disney Springs!! 🎄

With that many Christmas lights, Walt Disney World definitely shines bright during the holidays!!! ❤️

HUGE NEWS FROM DISNEY WORLD‼️

Guests should get ready to open the door because Mike and Sulley are coming to town!

🚪That’s right, humans will be able to enter the world of Monsters, Inc. when it is added to the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The new land will include a suspended ride recreating the door vault scene – plus dining and shopping and a whole new theater show!

🎸To make way for the monsters, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and more of their friends will be moving right along to Sunset Boulevard! But there’s more to the story: The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!

📆Disney will have more to share next year! In the meantime, there’s still enough time for guests to catch a super-stretch limo to the Forum to enjoy Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and catch Muppet*Vision 3D again before their final curtain calls.

So many exciting new things coming to WDW‼️ Whi is excited for these changes?! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Lightning Lane Premier Pass UPDATE‼️

⚡️Beginning Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, Walt Disney World will expand the Lightning Lane Premier Pass pilot to ALL Disney Resort hotels.

⚡️Guests staying at Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa, Moderate, Value Resorts and other select hotels will be eligible to purchase up to seven days before the first day of their Resort stay – for their entire length of stay (up to 14 days).

This is the only update to Lightning Lane Premier Pass at this time, and the pass continues to be offered in very limited quantities.

🍾Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure, was christened in a magical ceremony in New York City last night‼️

🚢Disney Treasure will embark on its maiden voyage—a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida—on December 21, 2024. The ship’s inaugural season will include itineraries to both the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
