What comes close to your favorite destination?

We tried this Swiss Lugano Swiss Bistro and this is their version of a hotpot.

A plate of meat (Chicken)
2 plates of vegetable
2 plates with 4 types of sauce
A plate of Gooie potato and of course the boiling soup.

First, we ask the portion if it's good for one person. The server responded, it is just right for two people, not too much.

Ok. Sounds good.

The menu stated a price per person but the server told us that one person cannot order it. It must be 2 people to order it. It’s like going on a cruise, price is based on double occupancy.

So, okay that's acceptable.

We order to experience a Swiss hotpot.

Slowly, the plates arrived, two at a time. One plate with raw chicken and my eyes went big and a question mark in my eyeball. Why raw chicken??? What's happening... the next plate and the next... and the hotpot.

Ah... OK. This is Swiss hotpot. I get it now.

We started to drop chicken pieces in the boiling soup. Add some vegetables .. enjoying every bite...dipping sauces... there's Wasabi, ranch dressing, and more...

It didn't take long we finished eating.

I hate to say that my appreciation was ground level. The whole portion was good for one person. Why I say this? Well, the plates were medium size and we share one plate (chicken) for 2 people. The chicken cutlets were good but if I calculate it right it is one chicken breast or less. It was flat on the plate.

Also the reason I chose to oder this is because of the soup. We have to ask for bowl to enjoy the soup. Could it be that Swiss hotpot don't include soup? Maybe but I'm glad to ask for bowl because I really loved soup.

When you travel to unfamiliar places, do not hesitate to ask so you know what you get and not get disappointed.

I had a good experience overall but it did not fill me up. It's different when you go on a cruise because there's the buffet and there's so much more.
