One of the most fun we get to have as travel advisors is on group trips.

Not only do we love taking them ourselves (check out our girls trip we do every year), but we also love when our clients want to do the same!

We get to work with everyone to find out what they love to do both individually and as a group. So we can create an itinerary and overall trip that really captures what everyone wants to do without one person having to be the "mom" of the group telling the rest where to go and when.

Packing for kids can be difficult.

One of our best tips for packing with kids is; more is always better.

Now, we don't mean things that you could possibly borrow from the hotel or destination you're traveling to. Instead, we mean things that will make your trip easier and don't take up much more room.

Packing things like:

✔️ Extra clothes in case of spills or unexpected weather.
✔️ Snacks your kids can enjoy while traveling to and from your destination.
✔️ Medication so you can be prepared for any situation.
✔️ A secondary pair of shoes to have as a back up.

When you have some of these things on hand and extras of, you're able to save yourself an emergency trip to the store (or even figuring out where a store is) and just grabbing out of your bag instead!

Whenever you're traveling with kids…plan ahead!

As parents, we want to make sure we have everything possible for our kids to sleep comfortably when on a trip. The last thing you want is to have an over tired child.

But, before you start packing all the things, you may want to check with your travel advisor to see if there are any things already provided by the hotel.

For example, some destinations are able to provide pack N plays upon request so you don't have to lug one of those on your trip.

Others may have a selection of toys and books to lend for your child while on your stay so you don't have to worry about bringing entertainment. Plus, we all know kids are more likely to play with toys that are new to them rather than ones from home!

Your travel advisor can help ensure you know all the options available to you so you can lighten your load and decrease the stress of traveling with kids...even if it's just by a little bit.

We're here even when you need help DURING your vacation.

There was a client once who was on a trip in Europe. Across the pond.

While they were on vacation, they decided that they wanted to move their pre-planned brewery tour to the next day.

Instead of them having to spend time making calls to rearrange things, our travel advisor Emily, worked to get things rearranged easily.

They then forgot to get the address for the brewery, so after the first part of their tour was over and they went out for lunch, they didn't know how to get back later on in the day.

Emily got right on it and started making calls to get them the address.

All while the clients enjoyed lunch, did a little sight seeing, and didn't have to waste any of their vacation sitting on the phone or frantically googling to get the information they needed.

If you're traveling with kids, pack an extra bag!

When you're traveling with kids, you know how much they want EVERYTHING.

And when you're on vacation, maybe a once in a lifetime vacation with your kids and you want to treat them to everything they want (within reason 😉)

But when you packed, you stuffed your bags so there's not much room for any extras to bring back. Maybe a magnet or two but definitely not the stuffies they wanted so bad.

Instead of trying to squish those in on your way home or having everyone carry those stuffies through the airport, bring an extra bag!

You can use that bag to take all your extras along without the worry of not having enough room. PLUS, you can make the bag a carry-on size so if your kids want to play with any of the souvenirs on the travel home, they're easily accessible!

Think again if you want to use a travel booking site to save the most money on your next trip.

I don't think you realize how crucial a travel advisor is if you want to save every penny.

One of the things we get as travel advisors is first (and sometimes exclusive) access to deals.

Deals that aren't always publicized on the destination's website or even other travel booking sites.

When we get a new deal come across our inbox, before we even think about how to publicize it, we reach out to any clients we know would benefit from this.

That includes people who have talked to us about wanting this as their "dream" vacation but couldn't quite afford it at the time and this deal makes it within their budget.

Or people who have *already booked* their trips and can now save MORE money than they were already.

One of our advisors, Melanie, had an email come through from Disney for a certain promotion and she immediately went into travel advisor mode.

She knew that there were two clients traveling at the exact times the promotion was for. Without even bothering them, she adjusted their trips and sent them each an email letting them know they are now saving even more money on their upcoming trip...without having to lift a finger.
