Losar Tashi Delek! Happy Tibetan New Year! ✨ The Tibetan New year, also known as Losar Festival, is the most important festival on the Tibetan calendar. Losar predates the arrival of Buddhism in Tibet and has its roots in a winter incense-burning custom of the Bon religion.

Tenzin Wangyal about his experience of Tibetan cultural practice of Losar:
“During Losar, the Tibetan celebration of the new year, we did not drink champagne to celebrate. Instead, we went to the local spring to perform a ritual of gratitude. We made offerings to the nagas, the water spirits who activated the water element in the area. We made smoke offerings to the local spirits associated with the natural world around us. Beliefs and behaviors like ours evolved long ago and are often seen as primitive in the West. But they are not only projections of human fears onto the natural world, as some anthropologists and historians suggest. Our way of relating to the elements originated in the direct experiences by our sages and common people of the sacred nature of the external and internal elements. We call these elements earth, water, fire, air, and space.”

“Imagine a culture in which everything is geared toward helping all individuals become the best human beings they can be; in which individuals are driven to devoting their lives to becoming enlightened by the natural flood of compassion for others that arises from their wisdom.” ~ Robert Thurman on Tibetan culture

During our tour to Tibet, we will visit Lake Manasarovar. The Sanskrit word "Manasarovar" is a combination of two Sanskrit words: "manas" meaning "mind while "sarovara" means "a lake or large pond." The lake is revered a sacred place in four religions: Bön, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.

Join us on a unique tour to Tibet!

From September 5 to September 25, 2019 we are going to the places of power in Tibet. Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, Mt. Kailash, Manasarovar Lake, Samye monastery, and Jokhang temple are just some of the sacred sites we will visit. The highlight of the trip will be the outer Kora around Mt. Kailash and optional radial access to the North Face.

At Mt. Kailash, time changes its pace. Even if you don’t believe in anything, you will experience the moments, which will change your life forever. You will have a chance to bury your weaknesses, fears, and vices. And if you are truly ready to come into contact with your multidimensional existence, you will learn something about yourselves that you never knew before.

We will immerse ourselves into Tibetan culture, yoga, Vedic lectures, and group discussions on sutras during each step of this journey.

Mount Kailash (also Kailasa, Kangrinboqê or Gang Rinpoche) is a 6,638 m (21,778 ft) high peak in the Kailash Range (Gangdisê Mountains), which forms part of the Transhimalaya in the Tibet Autonomous Region. The Tibetan name for the mountain is Gangs Rin-po-che. Gangs or Kang is the Tibetan word for snow peak analogous to alp or hima; rinpoche is an honorific meaning "precious one" so the combined term can be translated "precious jewel of snows".

Just a word "Tibet" evokes a feeling of awe and mysticism. A country of ancient Buddhist culture and mysterious monasteries, harsh and at the same time delightful landscapes and exotic cities hidden among the mountains, valleys and centuries-old caravan routes. For a long time this region has been closed. But now there is an opportunity to visit this mysterious country which attracts many tourists from around the world. Tour to Tibet is a certain milestone, the beginning of the predicted life stage. Many had the chance to experience the strongest energy of this place, unexplained by scientists, researchers, and those who left their mark on history and politics.

Here time changes its course, and even people who do not believe in anything, experience moments that change their viewpoint. Near Kailash one can and should leave one's weaknesses, vices and fears, and cultivate one’s will, resilience and meaning. Here those who are ready to really come into contact with the multidimensionality of the world have the opportunity to get to know themselves.

Our yoga tour is designed for everyone who wants to take a look at the world and themselves in a new way.

✨Our 2018 journey to Tibet has come to an end. All participants of the tour have already left for their cities, and life is gradually returning to its usual course.
✨We’ll remember this year journey for the beautiful weather in Tibet, interesting meetings and conversations with the locals, tour participants, yoga teachers and important insights all throughout our trip.

The Eight Reminders by Milarepa

"Castles and crowded cities are the places
Where now you love to stay;
But remember that they will fall to ruins
After you have departed from this earth!

Pride and vain glory are the lure
Which now you love to follow;
But remember, when you are about to die
They offer you no shelter and no refuge!

Kinsmen and relatives are the people now
With whom you love to live;
But remember that you must leave them all behind
When from this world you pass away!

Servants, wealth and children
Are things you love to hold;
But remember, at the time of your death
Your empty hands can take nothing with you!

Vigour and health
Are dearest to you now;
But remember, at the moment of your death
Your co**se will be bundled up and borne away!

Now your organs are clear,
Your flesh and blood are strong and vigorous;
But remember, at the moment of your death
They will no longer be at your disposal!

Sweet and delicious foods are things
That now you love to eat;
But remember, at the moment of your death
Your mouth will let the spittle flow!

When of all this I think,
I cannot help but seek the Buddha’s Teachings!
The enjoyments and the pleasures of this world
For me have no attraction.

I, Milarepa, sing of the Eight Reminders,
At the Guest House in Garakhache of Tsang.
With these clear words I give this helpful warning;
I urge you to observe and practice them!"

Since ancient times the beauty of the Himalayan mountain ranges has attracted many people. Crowned with snow, Mount Kailash occupies a special place among them. For centuries, seekers have been coming here in hopes of finding the answers to their questions and remembering the purpose of their incarnation. Since ancient times, the legends about gods, invisible to human eyes, are still told in this mystical place. For centuries, kora, a sacred walk around Kailash has not stopped to happen.

"The famous Di Se Mountain blanketed with snow
Symbolizes the pure, white Buddhist doctrine.
The streams flowing into the famous Blue Lake of
Ma Pam
Symbolize one's deliverance to the Realm of
the Absolute.
I, the famous Milarepa, the old man who sleeps naked,
Am he who now transcends the dualistic realm!
The little songs springing from my mouth
Are but the natural outflow of my heart;
They tell of, and describe the Sutras of the Buddha.
The staff held in my hand
Symbolizes the crossing of the ocean of Samsara.
I have mastered both the mind and forms;
Unaided by worldly deities
I can perform all miracles.
Di Se, where dwell worldly Devas with crude bodies,
Is the king of all snow mountains on this earth.
This place belongs to Buddhists,
To the followers of Milarepa."
~The Hundred Thousand Songs of Milarepa
