I am a Certified Grief Specialist as well as have my bachelors in psychology and am a Certified Drug and Alcohol counselor. I never thought that there would be a life for me after loss, but I have been able to grieve losses and have a life beyond my wildest dreams. But, with support and action steps, I found that it is possible. I have, for many years, run from my grief in many ways, from distract
ions, denial, or putting on a false front. I went into a deep depression and almost didn't come out of it. Let me help you, I have experience a range of losses. From being a caregiver to my mother who passes in 2009, to many "smaller" losses either by death, break up, or just never became the relationship I wanted of dreamed of.

I have never seen a more perfect poem, written in the saddest way.

We know that lives can change in a minute and grief can ambush anyone. There is no advance warning for the heartbreaking of loss.
"Pain is inevitable and suffering is optional." People ask me all the time when is the right time to seek help from a loss ?
I say right away . Would you wait if you fell and broke your leg to seek help? Probably not , then why would you wait if your heart is broken.
Our heart is just as important and can affect us physically and mentally if we don't tend to our emotions .

A mother made a run to Walmart with her young son. While in the store, she turned around and he was gone. She looked all over for him, and was on the verge of becoming frantic when she walked to the front of the store and spotted him.
She was just getting ready to lay some scolding on him when she realized he was doing something very strange. He was kneeling at one of the benches just inside the store and he was praying. She could not understand why he was doing this. Then she looked above him at the huge poster he was facing. It had photos and descriptions of missing children, and it read: “Every second counts.”
So she took a photo of her son doing this and posted it on Facebook. It went viral in no time. And as it did, one Facebook commenter summed it up pretty well, writing: “Whether or not you believe in God really doesn’t matter. This was a child in Walmart who was thinking about others and doing the only thing he could to help. The world would be a better place if everyone followed his example.”
