Just popping in to say there are some great sales on river cruises right now. Now these are special off season cruises, which means you may be colder than summer, and you will see a lot less crowds!
What about a sailing In March this year on the Danube on a 7-Night Cruise With 2-Nights Budapest Pre-Cruise, 3 Nights Prague Post-Cruise. Add those 3 nights in Prague before on select river cruises for no extra cost! That's a huge savings! Good on some special sailings March 9, 16 or 30th. Today is January 3, 2025! Now, listen up folks! Today is the day to pull out your passport and look at the expiration date! That's right, today is the day to make sure you have at least 6 months extra from the first day of your travel out of country! Yes, I know that's not a universal time period for all countries, but it's a good benchmark. If your passport expires this year, just go ahead and renew it today. You're welcome!

2024 was a busy year here at Celtic Heritage Destinations. Along with my new focus on group travel, I still had time to honor my commitment to my clients who were heading off on their own trips. Here's what was keeping me busy last year!
*Custom trip to Ireland for three friends who were in search of the heritage of music in Ireland
*Custom trip for one to Orlando and back, which included cruising, touring, and train travel.
* A tour of Ireland for a couple of empty nesters
*Custom tour to Portugal and Greece for a family of six
* My very own trip with my daughter to Nantucket with a Traveling Book Club that my friend Terra arranged. Yes, it was wonderful receiving full service treatment from an travel advisor for myself, instead of giving that service! I loved this trip and would like to return with a group in the future!
River Cruises:
*The Rhine from Amsterdam to Basel for a lovely mother and daughter
*The Danube, from Nuremberg to Budapest, with the author of the Outlander series of books, Diana Gabaldon for 12 of us, and then on to Bucharest for 6 of us. As always, Diana didn't disappoint, and this trip was one of my most enlightening experiences in travel.
Coming up for 2025
*Repeat and new clients formed a group of 15 going to Ireland a combo of custom tours and a group tour. This was, as always, a collaboration with my clients in order to get the most out of their travel budget.
*50th Anniversary trip for a couple going on a very custom tour of Scotland that includes custom tour to their clan castle (which is not on the tour map and is in fact off the beaten track!). This has become a very special trip indeed.
*An active custom tour for a couple heading to Italy which includes custom tours based on their interests.
*A very custom tour of a couple wanting to embrace their retirement by starting by focusing on France.
River Cruises:
*Repeat customers cruising from Budapest to Bucharest on the amazing AmaMagna. This couple found they enjoy the smaller ships and passenger size of river cruising. 300 passengers vs 6,000 is always a plus!
And NEW AND HOT off the desk is a new group opportunity for 12-16 guests, which could include you! Join us on a river cruise with friends from Paris to St Malo, and points beyond!!
This is going to be either in September or October 2025 (it's that new!). I am leaning toward October because it has a very attractive special offer of the pre or post stay at no cost!

I'm based in Mendocino County in Northern California. You may have heard about the "Bomb Cyclone" that's hanging over our heads right now. This ridiculously strong storm had me making a grown up decision to not travel north today to Arcata, CA for an event that I have planned to go to since last April.
To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, but it got me to thinking about some of my clients who have had to make this tough type of decision regarding their much more extensive travel plans. Often it's due to health issues. And that leads me to say, without any hesitation, to travel while you can. Have you always wanted to see Scotland, the Eiffel Tower, Germany, or one of the other hundreds of destinations? I am hear to testify, DON'T wait. You want to be in the best physical shape you can be to travel. I'm not saying you can travel with disabilities, but I can pretty much guarantee you that you won't feel as good as you do today 5 years from now. Yes, I know some of you will feel better because of lifestyle changes, but probably not the majority. Do it now. See it now.
And don't wait until the last minute to plan. I've had two clients this year not be able to travel this year because there wasn't availability for their plans. Want to travel in fall 2025? NOW is the time to plan.

🍂 Finalizing an Italy trip for fall of 2025
🍂 Finalizing a very special custom trip to Scotland for the Spring of 2025.
🍂 Beginning a cruise/train trip for 2025.
🍂 Finalizing a Budapest to Bucharest river cruise
🍂 And helping others with flights and insurance. An my own 21-day two conference trip in March!
