Between the the Covid issues and recent rotator cuff surgery I will not be able to do any charters to Neah Bay or the Diamond Knot this year.

A great four days of diving in Neah Bay with Todd Roberts and Brian Kent. They were joined by Scott Waltari , Dean Hudson and Greg Doyle one day. Todd Posnick came out for a couple days. Everybody got fish each day. I even manage to get a couple on the rod one day. Gorgeous sunrises in the morning , star filled skies at night.

First dive trip of the Neah Bay season with Todd Roberts , Brian Kent , Janet McIntosh , Eric DeWitt and Tim & Dave Ray. It was a foggy morning with calm seas , making dive alerts & surface markers a must. This was Tim & Dave’s first trip spearfishing in Neah Bay and they managed an impressive 15 lb cabezon and a nice lingcod.

Nice morning dive at Dalco Wall this morning with Kennon Smith & Bryan McLean. Found a octopus on eggs under the rock at 60ft , small red octopus out in the open. Vis was easily 30-40ft. Finishing of the day with a sunny ride.

Fun fall day with Todd Roberts , Brian Kent , Chase Brunsman and Steve Holland. First dive was a slack current diveunderneath the Narrows Bridge, vis was around 10ft with an octopus out in the open. Second dive was a 1.5-2 mph drift the length of Day Island. Clear sunny skies made for gorgeous day on the water.

Last Diamond Knot trip of the year yesterday with Todd Roberts , Brian Kent and Kennon Smith. Beautiful sunrise , calm sea’s made for a nice ride out. We hooked the king post and dropped into 40-50ft vis , with no current , schools of yellow tail and black rockfish. Spent the majority of the dive poking around the superstructure which is where Todd scored his souvenir , neat find for their first dive on the Knot. Second dive was Salt Creek , still also had 40ft vis , lots of urchins , fish eating anemones in every color , a couple octopus , surprisedly not many fish though. Excellent finish to the season north !!!

Excellent finish to the Neah Bay trips this year. Left Neah Bay at sunlight , caught a gorgeous sunrise in the Straits , got passed by two orcas along the way. Stopped at Sekui , trolled for an hour , caught and released a few coho. Still made PA by 2pm. Next weekend the Diamond Knot.

Finished up the Neah Bay season with Brooke , Allen , Debbie, Pam , Bob , Briston and Nick from Tacoma Scuba. Going back to Port Angeles tomorrow to do a couple more trips out to the Diamond Knot this year before heading back to Tacoma.

Brooke Johanson came out today and showed everybody how it’s done with two impressive lings 41 inches / 27lbs and 33 inches / 20lbs. . Along with a nearly 5 lb black rockfish on the rod during the surface interval.

Got in a couple of days of personal diving at Neah Bay with my friends Kennon Smith , Steve Carbaugh and Bryan McLean. A good time was had by all with 30-40ft vis , clear skies and flat sea conditions. Steve manage his biggest ling to date at 41 inches/27 lbs.

Another great day of spear fishing for the guys. Vis has been averaging 30-40ft so far. The sunsets have been spectacular to.

First day back in Neah Bay , flat water , light currents and the spear fishing was good. These guys do good every year. The wolf pack is back !!

Flat day out at the Diamond Knot with Andrea Peterson , Bert Brezicha , Sean O’Day , Timothy Jordan and Crista Aldrich , second dive was Salt Creek. Headed back out again tomorrow.

Got in a relaxing dive at Dalco Wall today. Gave me a chance to compare my new Suunto Eon to my Shearwater Petrel. Dove both of them with out of the box settings, found them to have almost identical NDL times throughout the dive. The Suunto's display was nice & bright , even visible to my dive buddy 10+ feet away. Numbers are little smaller on the Eon than the Petrel but still quite readable. Overall looks like a nice unit next time out I'll have to try using the air integration.

Dalco Wall for the 1st dive of the year , good friends , gorgeous weather , 20ft visibility made for a great day. Found a small octopus that was denned up under the rock at the WSA buoy , urchins everywhere.

Had a great season in Neah Bay this year with exceptional weather , good diving and great people. Already looking forward to coming back next year. Headed back to Port Angeles today and maybe do a couple exploratory dives on the way.

Beautiful day here in Neah Bay with Todd Roberts , Brian Kent , Bill Horist and Darrin Massena. Got in two dives at Waddah Island , vis was 25 ft , clear & sunny skies. Brian and Todd limited out on their first dive including Brian's 35lb fish.

Beautiful day in Neah Bay spearfishing with LeAnne Livingston, Nels Mason and Scott Waltari. Dove Waddah Island Finger and Waddah deep east fingers aka Tiger Reef they said vis was 40-50ft today !!LeAnne scored the big fish of the day at 37 inches and 25lbs !!

Had a amazing weekend in Neah Bay this weekend with Jeremy, Don , John , Guillame , Laurynn and Mark , great group of divers. They managed two dives on Duncan Rock on Saturday , followed up with Waddah Island Fingers and third beach Reef. Vis ranging from 20-50 ft depending on the site octo's , wolf eels , rockfish of every variety.

Nice day of spearfishing for Todd Roberts & Brian Kent today !! They definitely found where the lingcod have been hiding. Vis here has been averaging 30+ ft , clear skies with only a little fog , doesn't get much better.

Makah Days fireworks in Neah Bay , just a short part of a 30 minute show.
Beautiful day to be out on the water today with Connie O'Neal-Farranda & Lianna Cambell. Dove Dalco Wall , vis was maybe 15ft from the surface down to 130ft. The highlight of the day was watching a humpback whale putting on a show in the Tacoma Narrows.
Incredible day out today with Michael & Amy Georgeson at the North Wall at Pt. Defiance. We had a inquisitive harbor porpoise following the boat around before & after their dive. After the dive they jumped back in and the porpoise swam around them for 15-20 minutes. After they climbed back in it continued to follow the boat for another 10-15 minutes. Quite an amazing experience.
