As we are running a workshop in Canyonlands National Park this week, we thought it would be fun to focus on the True Grit theme for a bit! This is another photo taken by Norm Clasen while on assignment for Marlboro.

Fun fact: Norm's favorite part of this photo is the tiny drop of water about to drip off the cowboy's hat. Sometimes it's all in the details.

Did you know that Cuba is the birthplace of several classic dance styles including the Bolero, Mambo, and Cha Cha? The National Ballet of Cuba is also arguably one of the best ballet companies in the world. You can see how deeply rooted dance is in this culture through this photo taken by Norm Clasen of a young woman dancing her heart out in the streets of Havana.

Many of the small coastal towns in Cuba depend entirely on the fishing industry and what they can catch daily. Some boats built before the Cuban Revolution in 1959 have motors, but most are powered entirely by muscle and wind. The markings left on their hulls tell stories of storms, salted air, and waves crashing as far as the eye can see.
