Joe and Mary came all the way from Texas to knock Lake St.Clair off their bucket list. It turned out to be a beautiful day for fishing and the smallies were eating. We put 45 in the boat and a couple real studs. What an amazing fishery!

What a great three day trip it was with the boys from Arkansas early last week. Finally the weather has been cooperating and the big ones are starting to chow down. More good times on the big pond!

It was a beautiful day on the lake today and the guys from Ohio put a beat down on some Lake St.Clair studs. The bite was consistent all day as we put 45 chunks in the boat. Good times on the big pond!

Earlier this year my good buddy Yang Hou was back from China for another up north trophy hunt. As usual we had a blast bouncing around to numerous lakes whacking some real stud smallies. It's always a great time in Northern Michigan when Yang and I get to hunt big smallmouth, eat chicken wings and too much pizza!

What a great time earlier this spring with good buddy Todd Cambron on one of our Northern Michigan trophy trips. Todd caught his personal best at 6lb 10oz. We did have to work hard but we're rewarded with big bites. I was fortunate to also catch a giant weighing 6lb 15oz. I can't wait for Todd and I to get back at it this fall!

It was great to have Tim and his son Timmy back with me again this year for today's trip. We had a blast catching lots of beautiful smallies with Timmy catching the days biggest bass at just under 4 1/2 lbs. Tim also caught a bonus walleye and a huge Northern Pike. Cant wait to have Tim and Timmy back again next year!

Joe and Jason came from Illinois to get their fix on some good size Lake St.Clair smallies. Post spawn fish have been making their move out of the shallows as mayflies are really starting to show up. We moved out into a little deeper areas and whacked a bunch. Good times on the big pond!

It was a fun time with lots of laughs fishing with Ben and his buddy Kyle from Illinois. Ben and I have been fishing together for the past few years and there's never a dull moment. The fishing was great with 50 smallies on day one a day 66 the following day. We are already setting up next year's trip!

What a fantastic four day trip with Ray and Jeff from Illinois. We caught over 50 smallies every day including two tagged fish. Lots of good times with these guys!

It was a great time last week with some great friends. Duke, McKinley and Juan have been fishing with me for many years now and it's always a blast. We all caught a bunch and can't wait to do it again soon!

What a blast it was up in northern Michigan with my good buddy Aaron McKinney from Texas. We caught lots of huge smallies with the best being Aaron's 6 lb 4 oz giant. We did have to work hard for them, but when we caught them they were all studs. Its always a great time up north!

Finally back on the big pond after a great bunch of trips up north. My first group was from Illinois, Scott Allen and his sons Matt and Nick were here for the first time. What a blast, we crushed them with numerous doubles and they even tripled once! Can't wait to have them back next year!

Another awesome trip earlier this year with my clients. We boated over 60 smallies and a few bonus largemouth. Lake St.Clair has been on fire whenever the wind allows you to be on the water. What a phenomenal fishery!

What a great way to start the season a few weeks back. My good buddy Yang Hou flew in from China and we put together three great days of smallie fishing on Lake St.Clair to start the 2024 season. Lots of doubles and a few real studs. I can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings!

Last year, my good friend Todd Cambron and I went on an amazing early fall trip to Northern Michigan where we caught lots of huge smallies including my second largest ever at 7lb 12oz! Todd and I have been fishing together a few years now and are planning our return trip up north for the spring. It's always a great time when we are hunting giant smallies up north!

2023 was a fantastic season for Marcels Guide Service. I saved a bunch of trips to post in the winter doldrums to get all pumped up for 2024. Lots of memories and good times were had last year. Here are a few pics of a trip with a great buddy I hadn't seen in over 25 years. Russ Cannici and I became good friends back in our New Jersey Bass Federation days. It was so awesome to spend a couple days reminiscing about old times with a great guy. Hopefully we will be able to do it again soon! again next year!

It was another beautiful day on the big pond with good buddy Scott Orme. Scott and I caught 47 Smallies on our trip and I was fortunate to catch a 6lb 2oz stud. The majority of our catch came dropshotting a Strike King Lure Company Z-Too. It's always a great time fishing with Scott, he will be back again in a few weeks for the fall feed!
