The Story of NY Route 28
I started NYRoute28.com, or CentralAdirondackTrail.com back in the winter of 2003 after I started NYRoute30.com. I wanted an east west scenic byway route to go with NY 30, which is a north south road aka The Adirondack Trail. In 2014 I added the Catskill Mountain Park division to complete the southern end of NY 28 in Kingston to Margaretville through the Catskill Mountain Preserve.
The New York State counties this site covers: Warren,Hamilton , Herkimer, Oneida, The towns: are Warrensburg, North Creek, Indian Lake, Blue Mountain Lake, Raquette Lake, Inlet, Old Forge, Thendara, McKeever, Mineva, Newcomb, Tahawus, Eagle Bay, Poland, Herkimer, Long Lake, Friends Lake, The Glen. The Moose and the Hudson Rivers too. In our Catskill section, we cover Ulster, Greene + Delaware County including Phoenicia, Woodstock, Mount Tremper, Shandaken and Bellayre Mountain
