We had so much fun eating and playing at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. Every meal truly was a work of art, and the desserts were breath taking (and so yummy). Figment was the star of the show, and we followed along and participated with every activity that the park offered.

Can I tell you a secret? I have never been on "Journey Into Imagination With Figment" before this trip. It feels silly now, but we always skipped over certain areas of the park that weren't the larger rides. We made a much bigger effort during this trip to check out every nook and cranny of EPCOT during this trip, so that we could share more ideas with my clients. I am a huge thrill ride fan, but I want to make sure that I am experiencing the park in different ways. No client is the same, and I want to best help each and every one of you!

I have so much anxiety when it comes to packing for our trips. My preparation is a mixture of OCD and weopanized anxiety. But properly preparing for the different parts allows me to relax, and my family to always have what they need.

One important part of traveling with so many in our family, is to make sure that I have everyone prepared. As the kids get older, I can rely more on them to manage themselves as long as they are equipped. This is how I help them pack, so that they can be self sufficient on the plane ride.

With our first part of the trip being the airplane, I wanted to make sure that everyone had all of the things that they could need while staying still in their seats. Each kid got to pick snacks for themselves...a salty and a sweet for each leg of the trip. We charged up their tablets all of the way, and then have headphones and chargers in a case so I can always double check that we have everything we need together. Finish the bag off with their pin trading lanyards, so that they have them for the hotel and Disney Springs, and they are ready to go.

For travel outfits, I went with comfortable bottoms that will keep my kids warm. I gave them their bulkiest shoes to give our suitcase a break. Comfy layers on top, with a tank underneath for my always hot child and a thinner hoodie for any needed warmth. Their flat brimmed hats can help with overhead air and just because they make my kids feel cool.

This still leaves them room for any small blankets or stuffiest in case they want any comfort items.

Our family's trip to Disney World is so darn close!

After getting to experience so many work trips to Disney, Universal, and Cruises... the boys needed their own trip! They sort of nicely demanded it. And I can not wait to experience all of the magic through their eyes at this age. They haven't been back since before COVID...and there are so many new things for them to see and discover alongside me 😍.

Excited doesn't even explain how excited my family is for this ride to finally open.

My uncle, Syd Mead was one of the designers of the Tron light cycle for the movie in 1982. Ever since his passing, I have dreamed of taking my mom to Disney World to ride this together and be able to see her brother's amazing creation come to life.

When I prepare for a trip to Disney, one of my favorite parts is planning my outfits. I always have such a fun time trying to figure out fun and unusual ways to style my clothing for the parks.

This trip has become all about customization by creating artwork pieces that I can enjoy for many trips to come. I started with one of my favorite jean jackets that was going to be retired, and added the iconic polka dots out of paint to set the perfect base. Next, I compiled all of my favorite patches and pins from past trips where I usually only ever attached them with safety pins to create a more permanent art piece. My son's Disney pin trading collection offered me a great place to find the perfect pins that he hadn't traded yet or were no longer being saved. Next, I found various patches that I used once or twice on my park bags and had forgotten...but now would have a forever home on this jacket. Adding my name in chenille and glitter on the back finished off the look and personalized the jacket to me.

I truly can't wait to wear this jacket to the parks for this trip and many more trips to come. I think I have a new staple piece for my trips to commemorate my love of the world's most amazing mice!

Let's talk Harry Potter and Universal Studios Orlando.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is such an amazing and immersive experience. Harry Potter fanatic or not, every person feels transformed as soon as they walk into Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade. Universal Studios pulled out all of the stops when they created this new world, down to the smallest details.

One of those amazing details that is brought to life from the books is Honeydukes with all of its inventive candies and treats ripped from the pages of the books. This is the one thing that my family always asks for on my Universal Studios training trips. They want to try every different candy and chocolates from Honeydukes. There is nothing better than eating an exploding candy or jelly slug that has the ability to transform you right back to your favorite moment of the books or movies of Harry Potter. Every child wants to experience eating a chocolate frog, thought I will confess that they are a HUGE amount of chocolate and usually ends up melted on my children's hands. Snacking just like your favorite character transports the minds and hearts of every child or child-at-heart.

Part of being an adult is figuring out what/who you want to be when you grow up. When my husband asked me what I might want to do in 1.5 years when all the kiddos are in school, I was forced to do some soul searching.
