Goose Chase Cake Design is a small scale pastry company Based in Central Vermont specializing in cake decorating. I will create anything from a four tier wedding cake to a simple brownie platter. Having upwards of 8 years experience of baking in Vermont and in the Bay Area, California.

“Ok Auntie, here is what I want for my cake this year…Mice with cheese and a cat is chasing the mice and there is a fish protecting the mice and cheese. Also it needs to be carrot cake, it’s going to be carrot cake right!?” My nephew Jackson for his 6th Birthday!

A real treat to receive these photos from Zoe this week! Creating her and John’s wedding cake was pure fun from our first email. Here are some kind words from Zoe and John
“I just wanted to write (even if I am six months late) and say how truly grateful John and I are for the spectacular cake that you made for our wedding. As you know, the cake was something that we were so so excited about, and the cake that you made exceeded all of our expectations. It was just so beautiful. I literally kept telling people to go look at the cake throughout cocktail hour because I was so excited about it.

Cutting the cake was also such a special moment for us. Everyone was like ‘wow you really went for it, that was a big slice you cut’ and I was like ‘well of course, I am over the moon excited to eat this cake.’ And it truly was so delicious.

The next morning, when I asked if there was left over cake, they shared that they had had to stash two pieces away so that John and I could have some. Our guests had devoured all the rest of the cake!

Anyways, we so appreciate all the care and craft and artistry and expertise that goes into making such beautiful and delicious cakes. We are so grateful to you for creating such a special element of our most special day.”

The Goose Chase Cake Design is a full service cake design and dessert company. We specialize in custom designed wedding and special occasion cakes. We also build the delectable dessert tables if cake isn't your style.

With well tested recipes, each cake is made entirely from scratch using fresh, all natural ingredients. The simple ingredients of butter, sugar, flour, eggs, and cream turn into the most glorious cake layers and fillings. With well balanced layers of flavors, and a cloud like swiss meringue buttercream. We create cakes that aren't too sweet and are a perfect end to a magical event.

Located in the Mad River Valley, Vermont we are surrounded by a beautiful landscape and have the opportunity to work with all of the amazing caterers and event spaces located in this little valley.
