Good morning from Disney’s Lookout Cay!

Yesterday at Castaway Cay was so beautiful, I didn’t think anything could top it. But y’all, Lookout Cay is spectacular!

It can be a challenge to book a Cabana at the last minute but we managed to score Cabana C at Serenity Bay for today. And boy, am I glad we did!

Greetings from Disney’s own private island - Castaway Cay! This place is stunning!

Where else can you meet Mickey and all his pals at the beach?? There are also tons of excursions to choose from, so there is something for everyone. Beaches, snorkeling, bicycling, water slides, parasailing and so much more! Castaway Cay also offers an Adults only area called Serenity Bay, and let me tell you, it really lives up to its name. It’s so peaceful here.

In addition to all of the excursions, Disney also offers 2 types of Cabana rentals. Family rentals and Adults Only rentals. I booked this particular trip about a week ago (talk about last minute) and somehow still managed to score an Adults Only Cabana rental at Serenity Bay. It is ahhhhhmazing!

After disembarking the Disney Dream this morning, we made our way to the tram stop. We paused along to way to take a few photos, then boarded a tram to Pelican Point. From there, we visited the Cabana Check in hut and were immediately greeted by our Cabana Attendant who loaded us up in a golf cart, drove us to our cabana, and gave us a tour. The cabana has lots of seating, a safe, towels, sunscreen, a small refrigerator stocked with water, soda, and fresh fruit. Chips and granola bars are also included. With all the lush greenery surrounding your cabana, it truly feels like you have your own private place to relax and enjoy the views.

Juneau was SO MUCH FUN!

We went on a whale watching tour this morning and saw lots of humpback whales, Dall porpoises, seals, sea lions, and even some bald eagles! So cool!

Then we had a delicious lunch at Tracy’s King Crab Shack. Those King Crab legs were HUGE! (I got the Lazy Crab with Garlic buttered rolls. IYKYK)

What an AMAZING day!! First off, we got to learn how to pan for gold, then we learned all about dog sledding and the Iditarod, and finally got to take a scenic train ride along the White Pass Trail and hear all about what it was like during the Gold rush of the 1890’s.

First stop on our Alaskan cruise….Sitka!

This quiet town, where the movie “The Proposal” was filmed is the place to see bears, and raptors, and whales, oh my!!!

I opted to check out the Raptor Encounter and was able to see a 19 year old Red-Tailed Hawk who calls Sitka home.

After that, I had lunch at Halibut Point Crab & Chowder. If you love crab like I do, THIS is the place to get it!
